  • Publication number: 20220187425
Abstract: A vehicle lidar assembly includes a casing having a front cover and a back cover connected to the front cover defining a casing cavity between the front cover and the back cover. The front cover has an attachment feature designed to directly connect to a vehicle. The back cover is supported by the front cover and has fins designed to dissipate heat. The assembly includes a laser module disposed in the casing cavity. The laser module includes a housing having a hermetically-sealed cavity. The housing includes a base that is connected to the back cover. The laser module includes a laser disposed in the hermetically-sealed cavity 30 and supported by the base.

  • Patent number: 11073597
Abstract: A method of operating a vehicle image system supported by a vehicle is provided. The method includes receiving data from one or more sensors supported by the vehicle. The one or more sensors capture sensor data of objects in the surrounding environment of the vehicle. The method also includes receiving a storage indication from a user input device. The storage indication is indicative of storing the data from the one or more sensors in the non-transitory memory. The method also includes storing the data after receiving the storage indication and transmitting a command to one or more remote devices causing the one or more remote devices to generate a two-dimensional image or a three-dimensional object based on the received data.

  • Publication number: 20200233090
Abstract: A light detection and ranging (Lidar) system includes a light emitter that emits light into a field of illumination and a photodetector that has a field of view that overlaps the field of illumination. The system detects the emitted light that is reflected by an object in the fields of view. The system independently adjusts the vertical and/or horizontal aim of the field of illumination and the vertical field of view to align the field of illumination and the field of view.
