    Abstract: A ball joint (10) connects a first vehicle part (12) to a second vehicle part (14) and enables relative movement between the first and second vehicle parts. The ball joint (10) includes a housing (30) that defines a chamber (40). A first stud (80) has a first portion (84) fixedly connected to the first vehicle part (12) and an opposite second portion (82) received in the chamber (40). A second stud (120) has a first portion (124) fixedly connected to the second vehicle part (14) and a second portion (122) received in the chamber (40). A spherical member (160) is disposed in the chamber (40) between the second portions (82 and 122) of the first and second studs (80 and 120) in mating and abutting engagement with the second portions of the studs. The first and second studs (80 and 120) each are movable independently in pivotal and rotational directions relative to the housing (30).
