  • Publication number: 20180317761
Abstract: Herein described is an instrument guide for use with a colonoscope, the guide being adapted to be mounted to the colonoscope. The guide defines a channel along which an instrument can be passed during use. Also described is a method of removing a polyp from a colon including inserting a colonoscope into the colon, inserting an instrument guide into the colon, mounting the guide to the colonoscope, inserting an excision instrument, excising a polyp and withdrawing the excised polyp from the colon.

  • Patent number: 4222833
Abstract: Disclosure is a method of treating a chlorine containing first gas stream in an electrolytic cell having an aqueous hydrochloride acid catholyte liquor containing catholyte compartment, an aqueous hydrochloric acid anolyte liquor containing anolyte compartment and an ion permeable barrier therebetween. According to the disclosed method the first gas stream is fed to the catholyte compartment, and an electrical current is passed through the cell to form chloride ion in the catholyte liquor. The first gas stream, depleted in chlorine content, is recovered from the catholyte compartment, while a second gas stream, containing mainly chlorine is recovered from the anolyte compartment.

  • Patent number: 4040934
Abstract: Disclosed is a bipolar electrolyzer having a plurality of bipolar units space from and parallel to each other with a pair of bipolar units defining a single electrolytic cell therebetween. Each of the bipolar units has an anode on one surface and a cathode on the opposite surface, so that the cathode of one bipolar unit faces the anode of the next adjacent bipolar unit. A steel plate is one exposed surface of the backplate and a silicon sheet in electrical contact with the steel plate is the opposite exposed surface of the backplate. The steel plate and the silicon sheet are bonded together with a suitable electroconductive bonding material.
