  • Publication number: 20050260177
Abstract: Compositions and methods for the therapy and diagnosis of cancer, such as colon cancer, are disclosed. Compositions may comprise one or more colon tumor proteins, immunogenic portions thereof, or polynucleotides that encode such portions. Alternatively, a therapeutic composition may comprise an antigen presenting cell that expresses a colon tumor protein, or a T cell that is specific for cells expressing such a protein. Such compositions may be used, for example, for the prevention and treatment of diseases such as colon cancer. Diagnostic methods based on detecting a colon tumor protein, or mRNA encoding such a protein, in a sample are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050102963
Abstract: A window shutter incorporates a lightweight composite frame that is particularly resistant to temperature and humidity changes. Members forming the frame are laminations of plastic shell members on one or more face surfaces of an elongate wood-based core. This invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a shutter frame stock, and the finished product. The method is to first prepare a body, and a shell member; the body is elongated, and is made of a wood based material. The shell member is made of plastic and glue is used to affix the shell member onto the face surface of the body, in order to form basic frame stock; the basic frame stock is then further processed to form the profile desired, and to generate the required frame stock.

  • Patent number: 4291302
Abstract: A circuit for monitoring the voltage across a sensing resistor in series with a load, wherein two reference currents are generated, each dependent both on temperature and on the voltage on a power supply line, which voltage is also temperature-dependent and exhibits a temperature coefficient of such a sense and magnitude that the changes in a reference current due directly to changes in temperatures are substantially offset by the changes in that reference current due to changes in the voltage on its power supply line, which changes are in turn due to the same changes in temperature.

  • Patent number: 4066916
Abstract: A transistor drive circuit arrangement in which the collector current of a transistor is passed through the primary or control windings of a direct current current-transformer or transductor and the secondary or output windings of the current-transformer or transductor control the passage of alternating current via rectifying means which provides base current drive for the transistor. Thereby the base current is directly related to instantaneous collector current which results in significant power economies relative to prior art arrangements in which the base is continuously over-driven to ensure permanent base-emitter saturation.
