Publication number: 20230421199Abstract: Apparatus and methods for transceivers are provided herein. In a first aspect, an observation receiver is implemented to detect common-mode local oscillator (LO) leakage while the observation receiver performs other functions. In a second aspect, a transceiver is implemented with an LO leakage compensation circuit that compensates a transmitter for LO leakage using a digital filter, such as a Kalman filter, that combines differential LO leakage observations with common-mode LO leakage observations. In a third aspect, a transmitter includes multiple local loopback paths including a first loopback path after a variable gain amplifier (VGA) and a second loopback path before the VGA.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 5, 2021Publication date: December 28, 2023Inventors: Brian Reggiannini, Gordon Allan, Hatice Ozis Unsal, Christopher Mayer, Richard Schubert, Jianxun Fan, Lu Wu, Tolga Pamir, Antonio Montalvo, Ahmed Ali, David McLaurin

Patent number: 7491941Abstract: A collimator, and in particular a method for making a collimator for use with a small high resolution single-photon emission computed tomographic (SPECT) imaging tool for small animal research. The collimator is sized, both functionally and structurally, particularly smaller than known collimators and appropriately scaled to achieve a highly sensitive collimator which facilitates desired reconstruction resolutions for small animals, as well as compliments other functional imaging modalities such as positron emission tomography (PET), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), electroencephalography (EEG), and event-related potential (ERP), magneto-encephalography (MEG), and near-infrared optical imaging.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2005Date of Patent: February 17, 2009Assignee: Neurophysics CorporationInventors: Timothy Hanson Olden, Dale John Martin, Thomas Christopher John Sefranek, Gordon Allan LaPoint, Hugh Adam Stoddart, Hugh Franklin Stoddart

Publication number: 20070146024Abstract: Circuits for implementing a thermometer code in a mixed-signal fashion are provided. Each of a set of outputs can be digital or analog in a transition region. The mixed signals can be used to control delay elements in a delay line for application in DLLs or PLL or clock de-skew circuits, or can be used to control voltage controlled oscillators. Two sets of driver elements are connected to the set of mixed signal outputs and in a first control state, one of the sets drives the mixed-signal outputs sequentially to off states, while in another control state, the other of the sets drives the mixed-signal outputs sequentially to on states. Any mixed-signal that is not completely driven to its on or off state will generate an analog output.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2005Publication date: June 28, 2007Inventor: Gordon Allan

Publication number: 20050058653Abstract: Porcine circovirus-2 (PCV-2) is a recently identified agent wherein the potential spectrum of PCV-2-associated disease has been expanded by evidence of vertical and sexual transmission and associated reproductive failure in swine populations. PCV-2 was isolated from a litter of aborted piglets from a farm experiencing late term abortions and stillbirths. Severe, diffuse myocarditis was present in one piglet associated with extensive immunohistochemical staining for PCV-2 antigen. Variable amounts of PCV-2 antigen were also present in liver, lung and kidney of multiple fetuses.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2004Publication date: March 17, 2005Inventors: John Ellis, Gordon Allan, Brian Meehan, Edward Clark, Deborah Haines, Lori Hassard, John Harding, Catherine Charreyre, Gilles Chappuis, George Krakowka, Jean-Christophe Audonnet, Francis McNeilly

Publication number: 20030177627Abstract: A positioning tool for repositioning adjacent objects in mutually spaced, coplanar relation, such as the ends of a so-called endless belt or chain, is used to facilitate their coupling/uncoupling. The tool has a fixed head portion for attachment to one end of the belt or chain, and a travelling portion for attachment to the other end that is to be repositioned, with parallel links to maintain the fixed and the travelling heads parallel. The gripping heads may be replaceable. A threaded jacking bolt connects the fixed and moving tool portions and applies the required jacking force. For rubber belts the attaching claws are inclined at about 22 degrees from the normal, to ensure grip and to avoid belt delamination. A range of tool widths and types may include provision for use as a wheel or pulley puller.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2002Publication date: September 25, 2003Inventor: Gordon Allan Richardson
