Abstract: There is provided a method for leach extraction of copper/iron/sulphur ores and concentrates including leaching the mineral with an aqueous stream containing ferric ions and sulphuric acid in the presence of oxygen, the aqueous stream including a solution formed by reaction of basic ferric sulphate with excess suphuric acid. Integrated methods of forming and releaching basic ferric sulphate are also described.

Abstract: The invention relates generally to a system and method for creating one or more structured multi-relational ontologies. The invention may include ontologies comprising assertions made up of concept-relationship-concept triplets. The invention may also include predefined sets of concept and relationship types as well as concept type hierarchies and concept-relationship association parameters. The invention may further include properties as concepts, synonyms of concepts as concepts, and documents or parts thereof as concepts.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for creating, editing, using one or more multi-relational ontologies and applying knowledge contained in one or more ontologies to one or more applications. The system may extract concepts, relationships, assertions and other information from a domain specific corpus of documents. The system may also create rule-based assertions that are then curated and published as one or more ontologies that can be used in various ways.

Abstract: A method and system is described for searching a plurality of information databases (2,3,4) for records related to an input search term. The method comprises selecting a group of related search terms containing the input search term from a search database (7) of terms arranged in predefined groups according to their relationship with one another. Each term is present within one or more of the information databases (2,3,4). A data repository (5) is searched for terms from the selected group, the data repository comprising selected data previously extracted from the records of each information database (2,3,4). The search identifies the corresponding records within the information databases which contain the terms within the selected group.
