  • Patent number: 8566999
Abstract: A paint brush holder comprising an elongated cylindrical body having an open forward end portion and a coaxial reduced internal diameter rearward end portion, the tubular body forward end portion being dimensioned to slidably receive the paint brush handle and the tubular body forward end portion having an elongated narrow width slot therein extending from the cylindrical body open forward end to adjacent the reduced internal diameter rearward end portion; a threaded bolt extending perpendicularly from the paint brush handle and exterior of the cylindrical body through the elongated slot; and a nut threadably received on the bolt exteriorally of the cylindrical body whereby the paint brush handle may be lockably adjusted relative to the cylindrical body to thereby adjust the position of the paint brush bristles relative to the cylindrical body forward end.

  • Patent number: 5450677
Abstract: An apparatus for use in marking a length of cylindrical pipe to permit the pipe to be cut for use in an assembly and arranged so that a plurality of markings on a length of pipe can be accurately oriented relative to each other. The device has a tubular plastic sleeve that is split in a plane of the sleeve longitudinal axis, the sleeve being flexible so as to permit the sleeve to be expanded over and subsequently to conform to the external surface of a pipe. The sleeve has at least one end with a configuration of a desired marking. A bubble level is affixed to the exterior surface of the sleeve so that when the sleeve is used to make more than one marking on a length of pipe, the markings can be axially oriented with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 4670987
Abstract: A tool for opening the ends of cans or metal containers which are used to store and ship welding rods or electrodes, the can having four elongated rectangular sides closed over by two opposite ends which are attached to the sides by beads; the tool being made from a relatively thin sheet of metal and having a forward flat triangular shaped portion terminating in a forward point, a pair of spaced legs extending rearwardly away from the triangular shaped portion and away from the point, a handle connected to the outer ends of the legs, a portion of the trianglular shaped section between the point and the handle being bent upwardly at right angles to form a protective shield for the operator of the tool, whereby the tool can be applied to the can adjacent one of the ends so that the point is just behind the bead, the triangular portion of the tool being wider than one of the sides of the can such that it can be pushed entirely into the side so as to cut the corners of the can adjacent the side being cut.
