  • Patent number: 6439430
Abstract: An improved collapsible bag for containing a product to be dispensed from an aerosol container. The improved collapsible bag has an opening at one end and is closed at an opposite end and comprises an upper section, a mid-section and a lower section. The upper section includes a neck portion, a curl portion and an outwardly tapering section. The mid-section, in an inflated state of the collapsible bag, is generally cylindrical in shape and is contiguous with the outwardly tapering section. The lower section tapers inwardly and defines the closed end of the improved collapsible bag and the lower section is contiguous with the mid-section.

  • Publication number: 20020035821
Abstract: A method of inserting a barrier pack, with a perimeter flange, into a container to be pressurized. The container to be pressurized includes a base, a side wall, and a dome having a perimeter bead, with the perimeter bead of the dome defining an opening having transverse cross-sectional area which is less than a transverse cross-sectional area defined by the side wall of the container to be pressurized. The method comprising the steps of forming the barrier pack with a transverse dimension which is less than a transverse dimension of the opening of the dome. Inserting the barrier pack, with the transverse dimension less than the transverse dimension of the opening of the dome, through the opening of the dome, without application of force, so that the barrier pack is accommodated within an internal compartment of the container to be pressurized with a flange of the barrier pack supported by an annular bead of the dome.

  • Patent number: 5450989
Abstract: An aerosol valve used in a dispenser containing a water/alcohol system in which the valve body and valve stem are molded from a highly nucleated polypropylene.

  • Patent number: 4940171
Abstract: Aerosol package employs a compressed gas such as carbon dioxide or nitrous oxide as propellant and provides a tiny vapor tap in the aerosol valve body to permit, in a restricted controlled way, the passage of the propellant gas into the aerosol valve. The diameter of the vapor tap is preferably in the range of only about 0.004" to only about 0.008". In a modification a pair of vapor tap openings of 0.006" diameter are formed in the valve. This permits a lesser initial can pressure.
