    Abstract: A method and system of capturing, validating, and certifying (or otherwise authenticating) electronic data samples on which consumers may rely. It includes a system and method for sampling, validating, verifying, storing, registering, and certifying electronic transmissions, such as websites, Internet packets or data from any Internet protocol, e-mails, electronic files, instant messages, encrypted data, streaming video, and the like. Also may be the inclusion of an authentication step to authenticate the certification by means such as tamperproof embedding of a service mark, a secret code requirement to open the document, and encryption. Other important aspects may include, comparison of two datasets, date and time stamping are recorded using a stratum level clock, data samples are collected at at least two separate geographic locations, each providing identical copies of said data sets.
