  • Patent number: 10035540
Abstract: An anti-jackknife steering system for an articulated bus is provided. A hydraulic turntable is used for actively generating a calculated force to balance the inertia of a front frame and a trailer frame. Consequently, the joint angle is adjusted to an optimal range, and the possibility of causing an oversteering event or a jackknife event is largely reduced. Moreover, a wheel brake device cooperates with the hydraulic turntable to assist in the steering action of the articulated bus on a snowy road. Consequently, while the articulated bus is driven on a slippery road, the possibility of causing collision is minimized.

  • Patent number: 9878740
Abstract: An active steering system for an articulated bus is provided. In an assisted steering mode, a hydraulic turntable assists in the steering action of the articulated bus. While the articulated bus is linearly driven at a high speed or the lane-changing action is performed, the assisted steering mode can provide stable driving performance. In the assisted steering mode, a better steering trajectory is achieved while a cornering action of the articulated bus is performed. By collecting the information about the driving velocity, the position of the transmission gear and the position of the steering wheel, a steering force applied to the front frame and the trailer frame is calculated. Moreover, if the control unit judges that the angle of the hydraulic turntable is optimal, a locking force is generated to assure the optimal angle of the articulated bus. The assisted steering mode also supports the action of reversing the articulated bus.

  • Patent number: 9880216
Abstract: A locking confirmation device of multiple electrode contacts includes an electrode, a terminal bolt, a sensing unit and a positioning bolt. The electrode includes an electrode thread and a positioning thread. The terminal bolt is used for locking a conductor and the electrode thread. The terminal bolt includes a positioning recess. The sensing unit includes an insulated cover, a first contact, a second contact, an elastic member and an voltage signal input connector. When the elastic member is extruded, a circuit is formed for returning a voltage signal of a node of the electrode. The positioning bolt is used for fixing a detection sensor assembly on the positioning thread. When a head portion of the positioning bolt is received within the positioning recess, the terminal bolt is led to a locking state by the head portion of the positioning bolt. Therefore, a fault of an electricity system is prevented.

  • Patent number: 9738313
Abstract: A motor-assisted joint system is provided to improve maneuverability and safety of an articulated bus. The motor-assisted joint system is enabled when the articulated bus is operated in an active damping mode. An articulated joint with a flat motor is used. According to the velocity of the articulated bus, a highly sensitive damping force is calculated and an opposing force is generated to balance the inertia of the articulated bus when an oversteering event or a tire slip event occurs. Consequently, the driving performance of the articulated bus in various aspects is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 9688158
Abstract: A power driving system for an electric vehicle with a motor includes plural battery boxes, a first DC bus, a second DC bus and a power converter. The first DC bus is electrically connected with the battery boxes for selectively receiving electric energy from the battery boxes. The second DC bus is electrically connected with the battery boxes for selectively receiving electric energy from the battery boxes. The power converter is connected between first DC bus and the second DC bus. After the power driving system is changed from a steady state power mode to a driving voltage switching mode, a driving voltage switching process is performed. By the power converter, a voltage of one of the first DC bus and the second DC bus in a steady state is used to adjust a voltage of the other of the first DC bus and the second DC bus.

  • Patent number: 9559464
Abstract: The present invention provides a positive locking confirmation mechanism for a battery contact of an electric vehicle. The positive locking confirmation mechanism uses a terminal bolt with an expansive tail section and judges whether the battery contact is in a positive locking state according to a voltage signal measured by a battery management unit. Before the battery contact is possibly not in the positive locking state, the system notifies the user to check and repair the possibly-loosened contact. Consequently, the problem of losing power or generating electric arc in the battery box will be avoided.
