  • Patent number: 10098526
Abstract: An endoscopy capsule having an image collecting capacity includes a deformable member configured to inflate when exposed to body liquid. The deformable member includes an effervescent material. When the effervescent reacts with water the resulting Carbon-Dioxide gas reduces the specific gravity of the endoscopy capsule. The capsule is contained within a shell or dome when swallowed. The shell or dome is configured dissolve in either a low or high pH environment.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 17, 2015
Date of Patent: October 16, 2018
    Assignee: CAPSOVISION INC.
Inventors: Mikael Trollsas, Phat Trinh, Mark Hadley, Kang-Huai Wang, Gordon Cook Wilson, Ganyu Lu

  • Patent number: 7817354
Abstract: An optical imaging system and method for producing panoramic images exhibiting a substantial field of view.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 17, 2007
Date of Patent: October 19, 2010

  • Patent number: 6728277
Abstract: A laser transmitter is configured to use a dynamic bias signal in place of a conventional dc bias current. In particular, the envelope of the applied RF signal is detected and the envelope used to dynamically adjust the laser bias. In this manner, clipping of the laser output is avoided as the value of the RF input is changed.

  • Patent number: 6137607
Abstract: A method and apparatus for substantially reducing OBI on optical networks in which a number of source lasers operate simultaneously and the output from the lasers is subsequently combined in the network. The method involves operating the laser in burst mode such that the laser is operational only during transmission periods.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: October 24, 2000
    Assignee: Lucent Technologies Inc.
Inventors: Robert D. Feldman, Gordon Cook Wilson, Thomas Huntington Wood
  • Patent number: 5812294
Abstract: A linearized optical transmitter in which predistortion is employed to cancel both third and fifth order intermodulation distortion includes a modulated optical source responsive to a time varying electrical input signal to supply a time varying optical output signal containing multiple subcarrier signals. The modulated optical source is characterized by a non-linear transfer function such that intermodulation of the multiple subcarrier signals occurs, and for this reason, the optical transmitter further includes a predistortion circuit for supplying a predistorted signal comprising both the multiple subcarrier signals and intermodulation products substantially equal in magnitude and opposite in phase to those associated with the non-linear transfer function such that odd-order subcarrier intermodulation distortion products in the optical output signal are substantially canceled through the fifth order.
