  • Patent number: 10891850
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to reducing replacing a desiccant cartridge based upon a condensation risk. In one example, first information corresponding to a current dew point within a sensor housing of a sensor and second information identifying temperature data corresponding to a predefined area where the sensor is projected to travel may be received. Based upon the first and second information a condensation risk corresponding to the likelihood of condensation forming within the sensor housing in the event it traveled within the predefined area based upon the current dew point and the temperature data may be determined. Based upon the determined condensation risk, an indication that a desiccant cartridge within the sensor housing should be replaced to reduce the current dew point and the condensation risk may be provided.

  • Patent number: 9505348
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus providing a first component having a circular opening with an interior chamfered edge and a second component positioned within the circular opening. The apparatus also provides a magnetic feature at a circular bottom surface of the first component, where the magnetic feature provides a magnetic pull force in a first direction to secure the second component within the circular opening. The second component is configured to break away from the circular opening when a contact force to the breakaway component causes a force in a second direction opposite of the first direction and greater than the magnetic pull force.

  • Publication number: 20150301695
Abstract: The technology relates to selecting and displaying images captured at different points in time. As an example, a user of a computing device may view a first street level image as viewed from a particular location and oriented in a particular direction. The user may select other time periods for which similar images are available. Upon selecting a particular time period, a second street level image may be displayed concurrently with the first street level image, wherein the second street level image was captured on or around the selected time period. If the user changes the perspective of the first image an automatic change in perspective of the second image may occur.

  • Patent number: 9040184
Abstract: A battery pack dehumidifier system for controlling the relative humidity within a battery pack enclosure is provided, the dehumidifier system including a desiccant that absorbs/adsorbs water vapor from the battery pack enclosure. The system heats and reactivates the desiccant at predetermined time intervals or when the humidity within the system reaches a preset level, thereby allowing the desiccant to regain its potential for absorbing/adsorbing water vapor.

  • Publication number: 20150129805
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing syngas in an alternating operation between two operating modes. The method has the steps of providing a flow reactor; endothermically reacting carbon dioxide with hydrocarbons, water, and/or hydrogen in the flow reactor, at least carbon monoxide being formed as the product, under the effect of heat generated electrically by one or more heating elements (110, 111, 112, 113); and at the same time exothermically reacting hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and/or hydrogen as reactants in the flow reactor. The exothermic reaction releases a heat quantity Q1, the electric heating of the reactor releases a heat quantity Q2, and the exothermic reaction and the electric heating of the reactor are operated such that the sum of Q1 and Q2 is greater than or equal to the heat quantity Q3 which is required for an equilibrium yield Y of the endothermic reaction of ?90%.
