  • Patent number: 11160507
Abstract: Information and passive biometric capture systems and methods. The information system includes a housing having a cavity configured to receive tangible items therein. A transparent, touch-sensitive display device is positioned over the cavity and configured such that in response to pixels of the display being black, the tangible items behind the black pixels are visible through the transparent display. A controller is programmed to receive from a remote server an alarm signal, and in response thereto, cause the display to change its state to indicate an alarm condition on the display. In response to receiving an input from the touch-sensitive display, a keypad is displayed, and inputs thereon are communicated to the remote server. The display can also display personal photographs stored in the memory device.

  • Publication number: 20210214193
Abstract: An apparatus for handling bulk material, the apparatus comprising a spreader configured for attachment to a crane, the spreader having a spreader body having a first engagement formation. The apparatus includes a bulk material storage cradle having a first side member and a second side member, the first and second side members defining two opposing longitudinal side walls which are spaced relative to each other to define an internal bulk material storage receptacle. The bulk material storage cradle has a second engagement formation, and at least one gate member having a proximal end hingedly connected to a lower portion of the first side member and a distal end having a third engagement formation configured to selectively engage with a fourth engagement formation located at a lower portion of the second side member. The first engagement formation is selectively engageable with the second engagement formation to secure the spreader to the bulk material storage cradle.

  • Patent number: 10529213
Abstract: A method includes receiving a first signal indicating a first movement in first predefined zone at a first time. A first activation signal is communicated to cause a first light source in the first predefined zone to be activated and provide downward illumination in the first predefined zone. A second activation signal is communicated to cause a second light source that in a second predefined zone to be activated and provide downward illumination in the second predefined zone. Responsive to an absence of receiving a second signal indicating a second/return movement in the first predefined zone at or before a second time that is after the first time, an alarm signal is transmitted that is indicative of an occurrence of a potential non-normal event.

  • Patent number: 9203163
Abstract: An antenna assembly for a vehicle including an environmentally sealed housing and a printed circuit board. The printed circuit board is at least partially disposed within the environmentally sealed housing and extends through a plurality of second order Hilbert Curves which are arranged in side-by-side relationship with one another. The antenna assembly is preferably disposed within a non-metallic structure of the vehicle, and therefore, the antenna assembly is hidden from view, thereby allowing the vehicle to have a more aesthetically pleasing external appearance. Additionally, the length of the trace is limited by the space inside of the non-metallic structure, and therefore, depending on the size of the non-metallic structure, a very long trace having a high performance could be printed on the printed circuit board.
