  • Publication number: 20100045045
Abstract: A wave power generator device comprises tubes which are open at their lower end to allow water to enter the tubes as a wave passes. The tubes may be carried on a floating vessel having hulls. As the water level in the tubes rises, air exits the tube via non-return outlet valves into an air chamber. As the water level in the tube falls, air feeds into the tube via non-return inlet valves. The air may be fed from the chamber and used to drive an air turbine and electricity generator. A system for removably supporting the tubes between the hulls is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7360973
Abstract: A V-shaped frame 102 is attached to a pipe 100 to be drilled. The frame may be used with larger pipes by attaching a removable extension plates 120 to the arms 104 106 of the V-shaped frame, thereby increasing the size of the recess between the arms 104, 106. The apparatus may be fixed to the pipe 100 by a chain 110 which connects to the platform 102 and extends around the pipe 100, or by attaching clips to the frame and attaching the clips to the surface of the pipe by screws etc. To attach the apparatus to a pipe having a corrugated outer surface, clamp members 340 extend into the grooves 308? of the corrugations to grip the groove walls 316.

  • Patent number: 7125206
Abstract: A platform for a drill is supported on four support members which are pivotable on the platform to alter the angle between opposite members. In one embodiment a stop limits the movement of the support members so that the maximum angle between them can be controlled to suit the diameter of a pipe on which the apparatus is mounted. In another embodiment, the support members are attached by connecting rods to a cross member which is raised and lowered on a threaded rod to pivot the members.

  • Patent number: 6050753
Abstract: Apparatus for mounting a drill on the pipe comprises a platform carrying a mounting member for a drill stand. The mounting may slide along a frame which carries a plurality of elongate holes therein. The longitudinal movement allowed by this relative sliding permits a drill mounted on a drill stand to be selectively positioned in order to bore a hole in a pipe upon which the platform is rigidly clamped. By provision of such a facility, there is no need to loosen the clamping force of the platform upon the pipe.

  • Patent number: 5713702
Abstract: An adaptor mounting a drill stand on an I-beam comprises a base plate which is clamped to a flange of the beam by clamping arrangements. A table of the drill stand is then bolted to cross-members slidably mounted on the base plate. In another arrangement, the pillar of the drill stand 11 is fitted in a collar housing which is slidably mounted on a base plate. In yet another arrangement, the pillar of the drill stand is mounted on the flange of an I-beam by opposed jaws which are slidable along the pillar and locked in position by screws.
