  • Patent number: 11516196
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can obtain respective instances of verification information can be obtained from computing systems associated with a plurality of third-party vendors, wherein a computing system associated with a third-party vendor determines verification information based at least in part on an analysis of an identification document provided by a user to be authenticated. The respective instances of verification information can be interpreted, wherein interpreting an instance of verification information comprises assigning respective states to attribute fields included in the verification information. A set of interpreted instances of verification information can be evaluated in combination to determine whether to authenticate the user, wherein the set includes an interpreted instance of verification information from each of the plurality of third-party vendors.

  • Patent number: 6342553
Abstract: A dispersion of an ester polymer in at least one liquid wherein the ester polymer is a polymer consisting essentially of a first monomer with structural units derived from at least one ester (1) of an aliphatic carboxylic acid with an aliphatic alcohol, wherein one of the acid and alcohol is ethylenically unsaturated and the other of the acid and alcohol has a long chain group of 14-40 carbons. A second monomer is optionally present which is a monomer derived from a different ester (2) within the same definition as ester (1), such that the mole average carbon content of the long chain group is 15-35, and a third monomer with structural units derived from a corresponding ester (3) of an aliphatic carboxylic acid and an aliphatic alcohol. One of the acid and alcohol is ethylenically unsaturated and the other has an aliphatic group of 1-13 carbons, such that at least 30% of the said aliphatic groups have 15-35 carbons.

  • Publication number: 20010056164
Abstract: Inhibitors of wax deposition for crude oils are polymers of a monomer with structural units derived from at least one ester (i) of an aliphatic carboxylic acid with an aliphatic alcohol, wherein one of the acid and alcohol is ethylenically unsaturated and the other of the acid and alcohol has a long chain group of 14-40 carbons, and a monomer with structural units derived from a corresponding ester (3) with structural units derived from an aliphatic carboxylic acid and an aliphatic alcohol, wherein one of the acid and alcohol is ethylenically unsaturated and the other has an aliphatic group of 1-13 carbons, such that at least 30% preferably 50-90% of the said aliphatic groups have 15-35 carbons. They are preferably made by transesterification. Blends of such polymers and/or the corresponding homopolymers or copolymers of ester 1 and/or polyalkylene imines with long side chains, and optionally with monomeric polar additives may be used as inhibitors.

  • Patent number: 5994602
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for the alkylation of aromatics by reacting an aromatic hydrocarbon with an olefin in the presence of an ionic liquid comprising (a) a compound of the formula R.sub.n MX.sub.3-n wherein R is a C1-C6 alkyl radical, M is aluminium or gallium, X is a halogen atom and n is 0, 1 or 2 and, (b) a hydrocarbyl substituted imidazolium halide or a hydrocarbyl substituted pyridinium halide wherein at least one of the said hydrocarbyl substituents in the imidazolium halide is an alkyl group having 1-18 carbon atoms. The process allows ready separation of reaction products from the ionic liquid and improves selectivity to alkylated products.

  • Patent number: 4875538
Abstract: This invention relates to rear-wheel driven automobiles having an underhung carriage, an engine located at the front end, and a rear passenger compartment having a floor. In particular, the invention relates to a segmented drive shaft for transmitting rotation from the engine to the rear wheels, which is supported substantially below the floor. In this manner, the floor has a transmission tunnel of reduced size so that the floor is relatively flat. In the preferred embodiment the segmented drive shaft comprises three elements, between an output shaft of the transmission of the engine and a pinion of a rear differential. The first element is inclined downwardly from front to back, the second element is substantially parallel to the floor, and the third element may be inclined upwardly from front to back. The second element of the segmented drive shaft may comprise an outer non-rotating tube and an inner rotating tube, and lubrication fluid may also be provided therebetween.
