    Abstract: An improved cable slide guide or separation device is disclosed which significantly reduces friction and wear in the operation of a compound bow system. It consists of a single member which is held by tension between the inner cables and the cable guard has grooves to slideably receive the inner cables on one side and is shaped to slideably receive the cable guard on the other.
