  • Publication number: 20090293738
Abstract: A food elevator for a toaster or grill comprising a pair of elongate rail members and one or more handles secured to the rail members to facilitate the insertion and removal of the elevator into a toaster or grill. The rail members have depending therefrom first and second compartments. The first and second compartments have at least partially enclosed side and bottom surfaces such that the first compartment is capable of receiving and holding therein a frankfurter and the second compartment is capable of receiving and holding therein a frankfurter bun. The first compartment is generally dimensioned to hold and retain therein a frankfurter in an orientation generally perpendicular to the rail members and the second compartment is generally dimensioned to hold and retain therein a frankfurter bun in an orientation generally perpendicular to the rail members.

  • Patent number: 4972767
Abstract: An elevator for a toaster is disclosed which has a first portion for supporting one or more frankfurters generally side by side between an opposed pair of heating elements in the toaster. The elevator includes a second portion for supporting one or more buns one in each bun heating chamber each bun being adjacent to a single heating element. The frankfurters are heated on two sides where the buns are heated on only one side. The side by side orientation of the first portion is at right angles to an axis formed between two of the buns when the buns are supported in the bun heating chamber by the second portion. In another aspect of the invention a toaster is provided which includes a frankfurter heating chamber, at least one bun heating chamber, and at least one heating element interposed between the frankfurter heating chamber and the bun heating chamber. The heating element simultaneously heating both the frankfurter and the bun.

  • Patent number: 4915669
Abstract: A ball having an outer chamber and a first center of volume contains an inner chamber which is substantially smaller than the outer chamber. The inner chamber has a body portion and a neck portion, the neck portion extending between the body portion and the outer skin of the outer chamber. The neck portion is the only connection between the inner and outer chambers and comprises a flexible tube for permitting the inner chamber to swing back and forth within the outer chamber about the connection. The inner chamber contains a selected amount of a medium much denser than air and when the ball is in use the ball has eccentric and unpredictable flight characteristics.

  • Patent number: 4842563
Abstract: An inflatable ball is disclosed capable of having eccentric flight and bounce characteristics. The inflatable ball has an outer inflatable chamber having a first sealable orifice and an outer skin. An inner fillable chamber having a second sealable orifice and an integral inner skin is also provided. The second sealable orifice is in the outer skin of the outer inflatable chamber. The inner fillable chamber is substantially smaller than the outer inflatable chamber and is located within the outer inflatable chamber generally adjacent the outer skin thereof. The inner fillable chamber is attached to the outer skin at the second sealable orifice. In the preferred embodiment the ball is spherical and the first sealable orifice is diametrically opposed to the second sealable orifice. The second sealable orifice may be provided with locking ridges to secure a plug therein.
