  • Publication number: 20230233898
Abstract: An exercise weight support device includes: a spool connected to a belt to suspend the device, the spool being rotatable to enable more or less of the belt to be wound therearound to change the device vertical position of the device; a ratchet wheel drivingly coupled to the spool to control rotation thereof; an outer frame having a cradle and/or a pair of hooks to support a bar of a free weight; a ratchet pawl connected to the outer frame at a fixed location relative thereto; and a trigger handle coupled to the spool to move the spool relative to the ratchet pawl between a non-operating position of the trigger handle causing the ratchet pawl and teeth of the ratchet wheel to engage, and an operating position of the trigger handle causing the ratchet pawl and the teeth of the ratchet wheel to disengage to control rotation of the spool.

  • Publication number: 20070197852
Abstract: A method for the treatment of potentially infectious biological waste material including diseased animal carcasses by comminuting the waste material, mixing the waste with a strong alkaline material and heating is provided. Additionally, a number of apparatuses for practicing the above method wherein biological waste is comminuted, hydrolyzed using a strong alkaline material, and heated by an apparatus mounted to a movable platform are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070038013
Abstract: A system and method is provided for producing a safely disposable end product from waste matter containing undesirable materials, such as infectious, biohazardous, hazardous, or radioactive elements. The method comprises the steps of providing a highly alkaline solvent, immersing the waste matter containing the undesirable materials within the highly alkaline solvent, and heating the solvent. The waste matter containing the undesirable materials is allowed to remain within the solvent until digested, thereby forming a solution void of any infectious or biohazardous elements and/or containing a decreased concentration of radioisotope.

  • Publication number: 20060247485
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, a system and method is provided for producing a safely disposable end product from waste matter containing undesirable materials, such as infectious, biohazardous, hazardous, or radioactive elements. The method comprises the steps of providing a highly basic solvent, immersing the waste matter containing the undesirable materials within the highly basic solvent, and heating the solvent. The waste matter containing the undesirable materials is allowed to remain within the solvent until digested, thereby forming a solution void of any infectious or biohazardous elements and/or containing a concentration of radioisotope below the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) for release to a sanitary sewer as defined in applicable federal regulations.

  • Publication number: 20060222574
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, a system, method and apparatus is provided for chemically reducing waste. The apparatus includes a substantially alkaline-resistant vessel having a temperature sensor positioned in thermal communication therewith, a heater in thermal communication with the vessel, a substantially alkaline-resistant magnetic stir rod adapted to be positioned within the vessel, and a magnetic stirrer adapted to produce a rotating magnetic field within the vessel capable of spinning a magnetic stir rod positioned therein. The apparatus further includes a water inlet valve operationally connected to the vessel and a water outlet valve operationally connected to the vessel. An electronic controller is connected in electric communication to the heater, to the magnetic stirrer, to the water inlet valve, to the water outlet valve, and to the temperature sensor and is adapted to maintain the temperature of the substantially alkaline resistant vessel substantially at a predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20060120821
Abstract: A high strength failure-resistant hollow wall anchor having a self drilling threaded installation structure adapted to be broken, after positioning, by an inserted screw, into expandable anchoring elements. The anchoring elements engage internally formed cams and the distal surface of the wall into which the anchor is deployed and are comprised of a plastic sufficiently rigid to effect a threaded insertion and to be broken apart, but which plastic is also sufficiently flexible to be able to form the expansion anchor member on the distal surface of a wall. The anchor includes anti-rotation elements to retard overtightening and anchor removal prior to screw removal.
