  • Publication number: 20040049986
Abstract: An automotive window glass assembly has a division post carried by a support, a movable window pane that has an edge that slides in a slot of the division post, and a window regulator for raising and lowering the movable window pane. The window regulator includes a forward bracket and a rearward bracket that are spaced apart and secured to a bottom portion of the movable window pane, a set of upper and rollers that are spaced equidistant from the division post for guiding the forward bracket, a guide rail carried by the support in a parallel relationship with the division post, and guiding the rearward bracket, and a drive assembly for raising and lowering the forward bracket and the rearward bracket in unison. The drive assembly includes a movable cable or cables that are attached to the forward bracket and wrapped around the set of upper and lower rollers for travel in a path that is parallel to the division post.

  • Patent number: 6626482
Abstract: A vehicle door assembly that includes an outer panel and an inner panel which define a space in which hardware items are located. A trim panel including an inner door handle assembly is positioned on an inside of the inner panel. Connecting rods are positioned within the space and have a first end that is connected to a latch. The second end of the rod is connected to the inner door handle assembly. The rod is retained within a clip proximate to the second end of the rod. The clip allows for longitudinal movement of the rod while retaining the rod in the other two dimensions. This arrangement facilitates attachment of the inner door handle assembly and rod when the inner panel is installed.

  • Patent number: 6588151
Abstract: A power closure control apparatus including a power operator for moving a panel along a travel path. There is also included a pinch strip that is in communication with the power operator. The pinch strip includes a lower portion mounted to the vehicle and an upper portion that is movably engaged with the lower portion. A spring mechanism is disposed between the upper and lower portions to maintain a positional relationship between the upper and lower portions. The upper portion has a first extended position and a second retracted position such that when a force is applied to the upper portion it moves to its second retracted position thereby causing the power operator to cease moving the panel along the travel path.
