  • Publication number: 20240132799
Abstract: A method for re-refining used oils comprises contacting feedstock comprising purified used oil with extraction solvent to perform continuous liquid-liquid solvent extraction, to produce an extract stream comprising the extraction solvent and an extract dissolved in the extraction solvent. The feedstock and the extraction solvent are agitated by a variable speed agitator during the solvent extraction at a selected agitation speed. The extract is separated from the extraction solvent and subjected to a continuous flow liquid phase hydrogenation treatment to produce an oil product. A system for performing the method includes a purification unit for purifying the used oil; an extraction column for extracting the extract from the feedstock; and a continuous flow liquid phase hydrogenation unit. The extraction column comprises an agitator configured to agitate the feedstock and the extraction solvent flowing through the extraction column at a variable agitation speed.

  • Patent number: 8879224
Abstract: A modular pegboard electrical board comprising an expandable grid of electrical leads to allow connection of various electronic implements, including light fixtures, fluorescent lamp ballasts and heating lamps. A rectangular pegboard having internal circuitry provides columns of electrical leads, whereby every four consecutive columns form a hot-ground-neutral-ground combination of vertical leads in parallel. The combination allows for connection of a two or three-wire interface to attach anywhere on the board surface, including electrical socket adapters and specific light fixture wiring. The pegboard-style board allows a latch mechanism from a light fixture or electrical device to affect an electrical connection at a specific lead.

  • Patent number: 8838397
Abstract: A mini-plot is generated using the actual raw measurement data, and gives a preview of a full-sized plot which is displayed when a user expresses interest in the mini-plot. In some embodiments, the mini-plot is sufficiently resolved to provide the user with graphical information about the measurement data. In some embodiments, the mini-plot is updated upon receiving new measurement data from an ongoing experiment. In some embodiments, the mini-plot is a mini-chromatogram. In some embodiments, the mini-plot is displayed in a table along with textual and/or numerical measurement data for an experiment (e.g., in listing textual and/or numerical chromatography data).
