    Abstract: An example of a flow cell includes a first substrate having an active region and a bonding region that is spatially separate from the active region. A polymeric hydrogel is positioned at the active region. The flow cell further includes an interposer having a first side that is attached to the bonding region and having a second side that is opposed to the first side. A light-switchable bonding material is in contact with at least one of the first side or the second side, and a lid or a second substrate is attached to the second side of the interposer.
