  • Patent number: 9705906
Abstract: Physical Layer and Data-Link Layer data are connected with Networking through Application Layer data/information to enable searching, sorting, and identification of novel relationships between signal sources and their contents. Metadata can be used at the Physical Layer in an optical fiber network, connecting with metadata generated at the Data Link Layer, connected to metadata generated at the Network to Application Layer. The Physical Layer metadata is obtained from configuration and provisioning data within an Intelligent Optical System. The Data-Link Layer metadata is obtained from a signal processing device. The Network through Application Metadata is obtained from a packet capture or flow capture probe. The metadata from all layers are linked in a data store such that the network traffic, passing through stream(s) in optical fiber(s) layer data are combined.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 14, 2014
Date of Patent: July 11, 2017
    Assignee: RedVector Networks, Inc.
Inventors: Gilbert R. Mesec, Xiongwei He, Gordon Robinson

  • Publication number: 20100119768
Abstract: A lightweight thermoplastic core, formed from ThermoPlastic Olefin/ThermoPlastic Vulcanite (TPO/TPV) sheet machined. Said sheet is made of a TPO material that contains fillers to enhance strength and improve Coefficient of Linear Expansion (CLTE). The sheet is heated to thermoforming temperature, then formed by pressure-forming or mechanical pressing the desired shape (truss shape), forming a multi-dimensional core. Said core now is several times thicker than the input sheet. The new-formed core still has sufficient surface area to provide a sufficient bond to produce a structural panel. The core also utilizes the shape or wall formed in the Vertical Plane to create Vertical columns similar to honeycomb. The core is of sufficient strength as to handle compressive loads on all three axes: x, y, and z. Said core is ideal for application in the transportation and RV industries.

  • Patent number: 5029241
Abstract: A heat-shrinkable, wrap around sleeve is formed of a cross-linked corrugated layer of polyolefin extending between two cross-linked layers of homogeneous plastic material with an elongation at least equal to that of the corrugated polyolefin layer. Preferably, the corrugations extend at an angle, which is preferably a right angle, to the longitudinal edges of the sleeve and in the direction of stretching of the sleeve prior to it being heat-shrunk onto the joint.

  • Patent number: 4038236
Abstract: A thermosetting resol-type resin, particularly suitable in varnish form in a solvent for laminating, is produced by reacting a blend of a tar acid and a resinous product of reacting an oxygen-containing naphthalene-formaldehyde resin with a phenol, with formaldehyde in the presence of ammonia.

  • Patent number: 3993851
Abstract: Novolak-type resins are prepared by phenolating a toluene-formaldehyde resin of oxygen content 4 - 18% and the product is reacted with hexamine to give a higher softening point of not less than 60.degree. C. The resins may be dissolved in a solvent to form a varnish; such varnishes can impregnate sheet material and laminates of good water resistance and electrical properties can be formed therefrom.
