    Abstract: Methods for inhibiting corrosion are disclosed. The methods generally involve contacting a coated metal substrate with a composition comprising one or more of yttrium, titanium and the rare-earth elements. The contacting step can be performed either before or after the coating is cured. Substrates treated according to the present methods are also disclosed.
