Patent number: 11950101Abstract: An embodiment includes a method to increase the efficiency of security checkpoint operations. A security checkpoint kiosk serves as a Relying Party System (RPS). The RPS establishes a secure local connection between the RPS and a User Mobile-Identification-Credential Device (UMD). The RPS sends a user information request to the UMD, via the secure local connection, seeking release of user information associated with a Mobile Identification Credential (MIC). The RPS obtains authentication of the user information received in response to the user information request. The RPS retrieves user travel information based on the user information. The RPS determines that the user travel information matches the user information. When the user travel information matches the user information, the RPS approves the user to proceed past the security checkpoint kiosk.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2021Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Haya Iris Villanueva Gaviola, Gianpaolo Fasoli, Vinay Ganesh, Irene M. Publication number: 20240038104Abstract: A visual display system creates various visual and audible effects from the motion of light particulate matter, such as beads. The system makes use of a variable flow air array generation device that facilitates a variable flow air array within the chamber. The device includes three or more array sections and a controller. The array sections each contribute distinct but coordinated air flows that coalesce with each other into forming the variable flow air array within the chamber. The controller controls each of the array sections. The variable flow air array generated by the device agitates, fluidizes, suspends, or floats at least some of a plurality of beads in the chamber creating a dynamic display of beads within the chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2022Publication date: February 1, 2024Inventor: Gordon Sharp

Patent number: 9106247Abstract: A histogram-based method for testing an electronic converter device, such as an analogue to digital converter, includes steps of defining at least one histogram hyperbin arranged to store hits for at least one subrange of output codes; applying an input test stimulus to an input of the device to test a subrange of output codes matched to the hyperbin; and accumulating the histogram. At least two hyperbins may be provided, each bin being arranged to store hits for at least one subrange of output codes, and the input test stimulus is applied to an input of the device to test a subrange of output codes matched to one of the hyperbins. Both hyperbins may be open while the histogram is being accumulated for any subrange of output codes. The method may further involve varying the input stimulus to test another subrange.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2014Date of Patent: August 11, 2015Assignee: ATEEDA LTD.Inventors: David Hamilton, Gordon Sharp

Publication number: 20070177412Abstract: A driver circuit provides a driving signal to the power stage of a switched mode power supply in correspondence with a pulse width modulated duty cycle. A voltage doubler circuit including a bucket capacitor and plural switches is arranged to successively couple the bucket capacitor to the input power source and to the driver circuit. The voltage doubler circuit thereby provides the driving signal to the driver circuit having a voltage approximately double the corresponding voltage of the input power source. The voltage doubler circuit discharges the bucket capacitor into the driver circuit to provide the driving signal in correspondence with a first portion of the pulse width modulated duty cycle, and the voltage doubler circuit recharges the bucket capacitor in correspondence with a second portion of the pulse width modulated duty cycle.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2006Publication date: August 2, 2007Inventor: Gordon Sharp
