  • Publication number: 20140273851
Abstract: Electronic hardware, software, wired and/or wireless network communications, Bluetooth systems, RF systems, self-powered wireless devices, signal processing, audio transducers, accelerometers, and consumer electronic (CE) devices for a wireless portable headset and a portable wireless speaker phone that the wireless portable headset docks with and communicates with are disclosed. The headset and speaker phone may wirelessly communicate with each other (e.g., Bluetooth radios or other) when docked, un-docked, or both. When docked, an internal rechargeable power source in the speaker phone may recharge another internal rechargeable power source in the headset (e.g., rechargeable Lithium-Ion type batteries). A USB connector or the like may be used to electrically communicate power between the internal rechargeable power sources and may communicate other signals, such as signals from one or more microphones to form a microphone array (e.g., when docked).

  • Publication number: 20120304240
Abstract: A control server periodically receives one of a plurality of thumbnail images, representative of an audiovisual stream, from an audiovisual stream source via a first control channel and transmits the thumbnail image to a plurality of audiovisual stream destinations, selected to receive the audiovisual stream, via a second control channel. The control server receives a request from one of the destination via the second control channel to receive the audiovisual stream responsive to it receiving the thumbnail image. The control server transmits via the first control channel an indication to the audiovisual stream source to transmit the audiovisual stream responsive to the control server receiving the request. A streaming server receives the audiovisual stream from the audiovisual stream source over a first communication channel responsive to the audiovisual stream source receiving the indication.

  • Publication number: 20070263845
Abstract: A speakerphone having improved echo cancellation and sound output includes at least one directional microphone having at least one axis of sensitivity and at least one zone of insensitivity, and a speaker disposed in the zone of insensitivity of the microphone to radiate sound away from the microphone and towards a reflective surface, such as a desktop or wall, against which the speakerphone is disposed. A baseplate disposed adjacent to the speaker outlet can combine with the housing of the phone to form a flaring, right-angled horn having an inlet coupled to the outlet of the speaker and an outlet terminating at a periphery of the housing. A wallmounting embodiment incorporates a unidirectional microphone with an axis of sensitivity oriented perpendicular to the wall, and a desktop-mounting embodiment includes an array of at least two bi-directional microphones having respective axes of sensitivity oriented parallel to the desktop.
