    Abstract: A portable folding shopping cart and utility carrier is capable of carrying a maximum load of seventy five pounds (75) in its top basket and fifty (50) pounds in its bottom basket and used for transporting objects from place to place. The portable folding shopping cart and utility carrier is very similar to that of a suitcase in its folded position and with wheels attached to the interior surface for easy manoeuvring in its unfolded and locked position. When the portable folding utility carrier is not utilized, the portable folding utility carrier can be folded and carried around like a suitcase.

The longitudinal bearers are formed of C-section beams secured back-to-back and the joists are secured by tabs extending fro the webs of the bearers.
