  • Patent number: 7937589
Abstract: An apparatus and program product manage access to a remote computing grid that is not normally accessible to a client. A client computer may communicate with the computing grid via a dropbox configured to receive and distribute data between the client computer and the grid. The connection may remain open while multiple commands are thus communicated to the computing grid, and the identity of the client submitting the commands may be authenticated.

  • Publication number: 20100115065
Abstract: Methods, devices and computer program products are provided for configuring network-enabled devices. One or more additional network-enabled devices containing configuration parameters relevant to a first network-enabled device are discovered. The relevant configuration parameters are obtained from the one or more additional network-enabled device by the first network-enabled device and the first network-enabled device is configured using the obtained configuration parameters.

  • Publication number: 20090274053
Abstract: Methods, devices and computer program products are provided for capturing information associated with a triggering event at a network-enabled device. A triggering event is detected at a first network-enabled device. A message is transmitted to at least one other network-enabled device responsive to the detected triggering event. The message includes an indication of a time period associated with the triggering event and a request that the at least one other network-enabled device mark information associated with the at least one other network-enabled device during the associated time period as having significance, such that this information is retained rather than discarded.

  • Patent number: 7505418
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for performing network loopback using a virtual address includes detecting, in a system, data having a destination address matching an address resident in the system. A virtual destination address, which does not match an address of a device resident within the system and does not match an address of another system connected thereto, is generated. The destination address in the data is replaced with the virtual destination address. A routing table lookup is performed for the data. The virtual destination address is then replaced with the destination address and the data is forwarded to a network interface of the system.

  • Publication number: 20080010492
Abstract: Methods, devices and computer program products are provided for providing status information. Status information associated with a network-enabled device is obtained. An animated status report is generated for the network-enabled device based on the obtained status information.

  • Patent number: 7210109
Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, and signal-bearing medium that in an embodiment apply a latch behavior to a first and second netlist, where the latch behavior exhibits transparent behavior. Flush enabling conditions are applied to the first netlist and a second netlist. For each latch in a first scan chain in the first netlist, a corresponding latch in the second netlist is found. Cones of logic are then extracted from the latches under the constraints enabling the flush operation, and the cones of logic are compared for functional equivalence. If all the cones are functionally equivalent, then the flush reset states of the netlists are functionally equivalent. If at least one of the cones is not functionally equivalent, then the flush reset states of the two netlists are not equivalent.

  • Publication number: 20060233368
Abstract: The DOCSIS portion of a composite subscriber device is coupled to a video device. The DOCSIS portion ranges and obtain a symmetric session key generated and encrypted using the DOCSIS portion's private key, and broadcast from a central network device over a data channel. The session key is decrypted using the device's DOCSIS private key. The DOCSIS portion forwards the session key to a video control processor, which uses the session key to decrypt encrypted video control messages received by the video portion of the composite device over a video channle. The decrypted video control messages are used to process video content signals received at the composite subscriber device over the video channel.

  • Publication number: 20050175008
Abstract: A system transports a single video stream from a video server over a WAN to a replicator at a specified IP address. The specified address may correspond to a RTP or UDP/IP address of an endpoint or port. A table at the replicator associates a plurality of downstream QAM channel frequencies with the specified address and the replicator creates as many copies of the stream as there are QAM channels associated with the IP address. The copies are forwarded to each of the QAM modulators that are tuned to one of the frequencies that are associated with the IP address. Grooming is done at each of the QAM modulators according to rules that correspond to the channel.

  • Patent number: 5286319
Abstract: An improved machine for welding pleats on fabric that employs a plurality of toothed wheels to index the fabric one pleat at a time. A pusher is positioned between each of a selected pair of adjacent wheels. The pushers are sized and configured to be capable of pushing selected pleats from the wheels to a proper position between the weld stack and anvil for welding. Additionally, the welding stacks are independently pneumatically actuated so that each welding stack may apply the proper welding pressure. A series of air blowers directs a flow of air under a just-welded pleat stripping it from the anvil.

  • Patent number: 4565083
Abstract: A roll configuration for use in a roll type straightener including a concave surface of revolution formed on a roll for line contact of the roll with a cylindrical workpiece wherein the throat of the surface of revolution is offset longitudinally from the axial midpoint of the surface of revolution whereby a pair of such rolls may be employed in mutually-aligned or non-offset relationship with respect to the cylindrical workpiece axis to provide lateral restraint of such a workpiece being subjected to a bending moment.
