    Abstract: A method of conducting secure transactions over a communications network (50) includes registering members. The registered members (30) are each assigned a unique user ID and have a financial account associated therewith. Registered members (30) connected to the communications network (50) are logging in with their unique user ID, and assigned a unique session code. The method further includes receiving purchase authorization requests from merchants (20). Each of the purchase authorization requests indicates a purchase amount and a session code. The validity of session codes indicated in received purchase authorization requests are then verified.
