  • Publication number: 20110103680
Abstract: A three-dimensional sense adjusting unit displays three-dimensional images to a user. If a displayed reaches a limit of parallax, the user responds to the three-dimensional sense adjusting unit. According to acquired appropriate parallax information, a parallax control unit generates parallax images to realize the appropriate parallax in the subsequent stereo display. The control of parallaxes is realized by optimally setting camera parameters by going back to three-dimensional data. Functions to realize the appropriate parallax are made into and presented by a library.

  • Patent number: 7646907
Abstract: When “0” indicating that intensity of a stereoscopic effect is the lowest is applied as a stereoscopic effect tag, a stereoscopic image is allowed to be displayed as it is. On the other hand, when “1, 2, and 3” are applied as the stereoscopic effect tag, a reduction ratio is determined depending on a value of the stereoscopic effect tag (one-half, one-third, etc.). On the basis of this reduction ratio, the stereoscopic image is displayed and letters of “warning” are displayed. A user selects whether to display the stereoscopic image according to a producer's intention or to maintain the size-reduced stereoscopic image. If an operation requiring for a display of the stereoscopic image as it is intended by the producer is performed, an original stereoscopic image is displayed.

  • Publication number: 20090141052
Abstract: A display unit has subpixels arranged in a row direction and an intersecting column direction. A light-shielding member is arranged to overlap every other boundary of the subpixels arranged in the row direction in front view. An image data synthesis circuit generates image data of a composite image to be displayed on a part of the display unit based on first and second images. Each of the subpixels forms either a first or second subpixel alternately arranged in the row direction. The first subpixel and the second subpixel are arranged at adjacent positions on opposite sides of the light-shielding member in front view. In the part of the display unit, the first and second subpixels display, respectively, the first and second images on the basis of image data of the composite image. In another part of the display unit, the first and second subpixels display a third image.

  • Patent number: 7518641
Abstract: By rotating a second camera (4) by a hinge (5) by 180 degrees so as to obtain an opening state, the second camera 4 faces a surface side. As a result, a first camera (3) and the second camera (4) are aligned horizontally, and use the same direction as a photographing range. When the second camera (4) is rotated, a system controller determines that a state is in a stereoscopic vision photographing mode. When a camera shutter is operated by a user, both the first camera (3) and the second camera (4) are allowed to perform a photographing process, and obtained two image data are stored in a memory after being attached to information indicating that the image is for the right eye and the image is for the left eye, and etc. Then, the two image data are transmitted by an e-mail function to a terminal of a communicating partner.

  • Publication number: 20090009451
Abstract: An image displaying device displays a first image in a first direction and a second image in a second direction. The image displaying device includes a display panel having first display cells that display the first image and second display cells that display the second image. An optical unit has a first opening portion that causes light to be emitted from the first display cells in the first direction and from the second display cells in the second direction through the first opening portion. A light-shielding region defines a second opening portion and limits an opening-width along the predetermined direction of the second opening portion to be smaller than the cell intervals. An opening-width in the predetermined direction of the second opening portion of the first cell is different from an opening-width in the predetermined direction of the second opening portion of the second display cell.
