  • Publication number: 20100319899
Abstract: In a first process of this method of manufacturing a heat sink, into a groove, formed in a base and both of whose side surfaces are provided with projections or concave portions and whose upper portion is open, from the groove open portion, there is fitted a pipe that has a diameter smaller than the gap between the edge portions of the open portion of the groove. Next, the pipe is pressed from above the open portion of the groove and the upper portion of the pipe is deformed so that it follows the plane of the open portion of the groove, and moreover both side portions of the pipe are deformed so that they follow along the inner surfaces of both side portions of the groove. By this second process, both side portions of the pipe are engaged with the projections or concave portions.

  • Patent number: 6469921
Abstract: A DC voltage from a DC supply is applied to inverters of two power supply units connected in parallel with each other. The inverters convert the received DC voltages into high-frequency voltages, which are, in turn, voltage-transformed in transformers. The outputs of the transformers are rectified in two rectifiers, respectively, and smoothed in two reactors. The smoothed voltages are supplied between output terminals. The reactors are formed on a single core, being loosely coupled with each other.

  • Patent number: 4095969
Abstract: A system for manufacturing lamp tubes formed in a circular configuration features a plurality of carrier devices attached to a transfer apparatus which links a lamp-tube-softening apparatus, a bending apparatus and an exhaust apparatus, respectively, in an endless or continuous manner. Each carrier device which receives and holds a sealed lamp tube from a supply source or station can thus return to its starting position after completing its passage around the lamp-tube-softening apparatus, the bending apparatus and the exhaust apparatus, respectively.
