  • Patent number: 5904442
Abstract: A protrusion provided at one end of a first fitting body is engaged with one of the recesses in a plurality of grooves provided at one end of a second fitting body in the lengthwise direction, whereby the degree of overlapping between the first fitting body and the second fitting body is adjusted. Then, the other end of the first fitting body and the other end of the second fitting body engaging with the recesses and protrusions of a fluted portion of a sensor portion are fixed with a fixing screw. Thus, the other end of the first fitting body and the other end of the second fitting body are drawn near to each other, and a fitting for a bicycle is firmly fixed to the fork or other part thereof.

  • Patent number: 5827973
Abstract: A pressure sensor is gripped between attachment parts, and electrically connected to a substrate by means of a flat cable. A leg portion which is a part of attachment part is inserted to a receiving hole provided at the substrate. The diameter of the receiving hole is made larger than the diameter of the leg portion, and hence before a cover is attached, a pressure sensor is swingable within a hole of a panel. When the cover is brought into pressure contact with a pressure sensor set, the pressure sensor set is gripped between cover and substrate, and swinging thereof is inhibited.

  • Patent number: 5761157
Abstract: A wrist watch to which an engagement structure of the present invention is applied includes a recessed body connected to a band, and a watch having a projected body formed on the rear side of a display portion. The projected body has an outer perimeter wall portion capable of fitting in an inner perimeter wall portion of the recessed body. The inner perimeter wall portion has a wall surface formed by joining circles with their centers at a second reference axis and with their diameters larger as the centers are shifted to the side of the watch portion. The outer perimeter wall portion has a wall surface formed by joining circles with their centers at a first reference axis and with their diameters smaller as the centers are shifted to the side of the recessed body. A recessed portion provided at the outer perimeter wall portion is engaged with a projected portion provided at the inner perimeter wall portion, and the watch and the recessed body are disengaged by relative rotation around the reference axis.

  • Patent number: 5264791
Abstract: A sensor assembly for a two-wheeled vehicle having a sensor housing for holding a sensor receiver having a rod body supporting a reed switch. An O-ring is provided on the exterior wall of the rod body for sealing the inside of the sensor housing from the outside when the rod body is inserted into the sensor housing. The sensor housing is attached to a sensor support that is fixed to a part of the bicycle frame, for example, the fork that supports the front wheel. The reed switch will sense the rotation of the front wheel.

  • Patent number: 5226340
Abstract: An apparatus for attachment of bicycle parts includes: a first attachment part attached to component parts of a bicycle and having a flat projected piece; a second attachment part having a fitting portion slidable with respect to the projected piece and provided for attaching the first attachment part by using the fitting portion and for fixing bicycle parts thereon; and a cord connected through the fitting portion of the second attachment part to the bicycle parts. When the projected piece and the fitting portion are engaged with each other, a portion of the cord is pressed by a tip end of the projected piece, thereby increasing the strength in the cord fitting.

  • Patent number: 5089775
Abstract: A sensor magnet mounting device according to the present invention is a device which is attached to a spoke of a rotating wheel and is used for mounting a magnet applying a signal for each revolution of the rotating wheel to a sensor fixed to a frame of a vehicle. This device includes: a magnet housing containing a magnet therein and having a contact surface in contact with the spoke; at least a pair of projecting members constituting a cylindrical portion projecting to hold the spoke with a thread being formed on the inner wall of each of the projecting members; a ring engaging with the projecting members and detachable therefrom; and a set screw engaging with the threads of the projecting members. When the set screw is tightened with the ring being attached, the head of the set screw enables the ring to move toward the magnet housing so that the bottom of the ring presses against the spoke.
