  • Patent number: 7697745
Abstract: In an enclosure inspection apparatus 11, when a sealed letter 2 is inputted into a sealed letter loading station A, visual inspecting means 27 and X-ray inspecting means 33 determine thickness of the sealed letter and whether an enclosure in the sealed letter is a predetermined suspected object. The sealed letter not less than a predetermined thickness is rejected in first sorting station D, and the sealed letter which is not thicker than the predetermined thickness and in which the suspected object is not detected is conveyed as it is to second sorting station G. As for the sealed letter which is not thicker than the predetermined thickness and in which the suspected object is detected, after the suspected object in the sealed letter is positioned in a positioning station E, a suspected object inspecting station F determines whether the above-described suspected object is a predetermined object, such as an explosive or a narcotic drug, using a terahertz wave.

  • Publication number: 20090060694
Abstract: A decorative door frame attaching apparatus 1 comprises conveying means 4 for conveying a door 2 in a laid state, transferring means 6 for superimposing a decorative frame 3 on the door 2, and nailing means 7 for nailing the decorative frame 3. Adhesive is applied to a top surface of the door 2 at an adhesive applying position A, and the door 2 is stopped at an attaching position B. The transferring means 6 transfers the square-U-shaped decorative frame 3 from a holding position E to the attaching position B, and superimposes on the stopped door 2. The nailing means 7 nails the decorative frame 3, which is thereby fixed to the door 2. The door 2 is reversed at a reversing position C and returned to the adhesive applying position A. A second decorative frame 3 is attached to a new top surface of the reversed door 2. The decorative frame 3 can be efficiently attached to the door 2.

  • Patent number: 4281499
Abstract: A box packing machine and process for packing a shipping box such as a carton with a group of containers such as bottles and cans smoothly without interference between separators and containers. Separators are placed at predetermined positions inside an intermediate box, and a group of containers transported in a matrix form with certain raws and columns and lying on a conveyor are loaded into the intermediate box. Then the containers and separators thus loaded in the intermediate box are transferred into a shipping box such as a carton as a unit and without changing their relative positional relationship. Containers are originally transported upright and in a single line, and they are laid down onto another conveyor every predetermined number whereby containers being laid down are supported on both sides.

  • Patent number: 4231213
Abstract: A box packing machine in which containers such as bottles are fed continuously to form a group of a given number with certain rows and columns and the containers in one group are spaced apart one another at a predetermined distance before being loaded into a box such as a carton. A container space regulating unit is reciprocatingly movable between the first position and the second position defined in the box packing machine. The container space regulating unit receives containers of a given number at the first position. The containers carried on the space regulating unit are spaced apart one another at a predetermined distance while they are being transported to the second position, where the containers are transferred into a box in unison.
