  • Publication number: 20060120579
Abstract: A method and apparatus for imaging of at least one object, the method includes the following steps:—collecting image information about a sample by means of a microscope,—selecting a part of the sample to be imaged (as a volume)—reconstructing the collected image information for the volume using an iterative reconstruction method in which a prior prejudice distribution is refined in at least one step on the basis of a comparison with the collected image information, preferably the Comet method. One or more objects may be selected within the volume for analysis of image information related to the at least one object.

  • Patent number: 6598602
Abstract: A medical nebulizer has a reservoir for medical liquid, a capillary nozzle having a proximal end for receiving liquid from the reservoir and a distal end connectable to an inspiration gas flow path to deliver liquid droplets into an inspiration gas flow, a pump for supplying liquid from the reservoir through the capillary nozzle, and a regulator for regulating the delivery of the liquid to a predetermined amount. The pump supplies the liquid in a continuous flow throughout the delivery of the predetermined amount and a stimulator, such as a piezoelectric vibrator, is provided for vibrating the distal end of the nozzle to stimulate droplet formation.

  • Patent number: 6206874
Abstract: An apparatus for locating an electrically active site within an organ or other internal body structure has a number of electrical activity sensors positionable proximate a wall of the organ or internal body structure and relatively locatable. Each sensor produces an output indicative of the arrival of an electrical signal from the active site and a signal processing unit to utilize the series of outputs to determine, by triangulation, the location of the active site.

  • Patent number: 6157855
Abstract: A medical apparatus has an input unit with a number of input terminals to which at least one measuring and/or therapeutic elements is connectable and a display unit for displaying currently connected measuring and/or therapeutic elements. An imaging system produces an image of the cavity or the environment in which the measuring and/or therapeutic elements are situated, together with images of the measuring and/or therapeutic elements. A graphic indication of the currently connected measuring and/or therapeutic elements us superimposed on the image from the imaging system.

  • Patent number: 6032067
Abstract: A system for delivering radiation to an intracorporeal target site has a controllable external radiation source 8 and a cooperable location system for controlling the radiation source to deliver radiation to the internal target site. The location system includes a reference element positionable at an internal site having a known spatial relationship with the target site, this element being configured to provide an output signal related to its location for controlling the radiation source.
