  • Patent number: 7168545
Abstract: A coupling, used in drivelines or for driving agricultural implements, has a first coupling element (1) and a second coupling element (2). An actuating element (4) is axially displaceable relative to the first coupling element (1) between a switched-on position and a switched-off position. A power drive (5) actively displaces the actuating element (4). The power drive (5) loads the actuating element (4) in the switched-on position against an abutment mechanism (31, 36). A first spring (6), in the switched-on position of the actuating element (4), loads the friction assembly (3). This enables the friction assembly (3) to assume the torque transmitting position.

  • Publication number: 20050115789
Abstract: A coupling, used in drivelines or for driving agricultural implements, has a first coupling element (1) and a second coupling element (2). The coupling elements (1, 2) are arranged to be rotatable relative to one another around an axis of rotation Z. A friction assembly (3) can be loaded to transmit torque between the first coupling element (1) and the second coupling element (2) to assume a torque transmitting position. An actuating element (4) is axially displaceable relative to the first coupling element (1) between a switched-on position and a switched-off position. In the switched-on position, the friction assembly (3) is loaded to assume the torque transmitting position. A power drive (5) displaces the actuating element (4). The power drive (5) loads the actuating element (4) in the switched-on position against an abutment mechanism (31, 36). The abutment mechanism (31, 36) delimits the displacement path of the actuating element (4) and holds the actuating element (4) in the switched-on position.

  • Patent number: 6896621
Abstract: A torque limiting coupling has a first coupling hub (2) with first driving members (10), and a second coupling hub (27) with second driving members (35). The hubs (2, 27) are jointly received in a coupling sleeve (46) and are rotatable independently of one another. When a set torque is exceeded while the first coupling hub (2) is driven in one of two driving directions of rotation N1 or N2, the second coupling hub (27) is subjected to a force which ensures that, in the driving direction of rotation N1, the driving members (10) of the first coupling hub (2) are transferred into the disconnected position and that, in the driving direction of rotation N2, the second driving members (35) of the second coupling hub (27) are transferred into the disconnected position.
