Abstract: A signal-controlled crew warning system for warning people of approaching rail vehicles on an operational track located in a warning sector of a work track. The warning system includes a track-building machine for working on the work track, a positioning system for determining the position of the track-building machine, a computer-aided monitoring system for generating warning information, warning measures for generating acoustic or optical or haptic warning signals, and a radio system for wireless data transfer. The computer-aided monitoring system is configured to set boundaries of the warning sector on a basis of the current position of the track-building machine and to automatically generate warning information for the warning sector. The track-building machine has a central control unit for processing the warning information, which control unit is coupled to the computer-aided monitoring system via the radio system. The warning sector thus moves along with the track-building machine as it travels.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining a position of a rail vehicle, moving on a track, by means of an optical measuring system comprising a stereo camera system and an evaluation device, wherein by means of the stereo camera system an image pair is recorded from a reference point in a lateral environment of the track and wherein by means of photogrammetry the position of the rail vehicle is determined in relation to the reference point. The position of the rail vehicle is additionally detected by means of a radio-based measuring system for real-time locating by means of anchor modules attached to the rail vehicle and by means of transponders attached to several reference points, wherein position data of the two measuring systems are compared by means of a central system unit. In this way, two independent measuring systems are used to generate position data.

Abstract: An insulating switching rod has a drive element for initiating a drive movement in an electrical contact system of a switching device and for producing a contact force when the contact system is in the closed state. The system further includes a clamping apparatus for the drive element of the switching rod in order to maintain the contact force. The object is to produce a greater contact force with a compact design and ensure constant spring characteristics as well as low wear over the entire useful life. For that purpose, the switching rod and the drive element can be directly or indirectly connected to one another by way of a plug and latching connection.
