Patent number: 8906321Abstract: A reagent kit comprising: a reagent container assembly with at least one reagent container, wherein the reagent container has at least one container body and at least one closure which can be mounted or provided on the container body. The closure comprises a closure base member and a lid which is mounted movably on the base member for movement at least between a closed lid position and another lid position, and an in-transit securing means mountable in a locking position on the reagent container and which is movable relative to the reagent container from the locking position into a release position. The in-transit securing means, when in the locking position, secures the lid in the closed lid position. By moving the in-transit securing means from the locking position into the release position, the lid is moved from the closed lid position into the other lid position.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2012Date of Patent: December 9, 2014Assignee: Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc.Inventors: Georg Werner Arras, Bernd Drescher, Frank-Rainer Jaehde, Hans-Juergen Mueller, Klaus Oswald, Gottfried Senftner

Patent number: 8529847Abstract: A reagent kit is provided comprising a plurality of containers with top-side openings, a common support structure or a plurality of support structures associated to the containers, and a plurality of caps. Each container and cap is mountable or provided on the common or the associated support structure, wherein each cap is formed essentially rectangular, having two shorter edges and two longer edges, and comprises: a cap body, a lid hinged to the cap body so to pivot around a pivot axis at least between closed and opened positions, the pivot axis being essentially parallel to the shorter edges. The containers and associated caps are arranged in a row along a connecting line such that the pivot axes are orthogonal to the connecting line. For at least one of the containers, an end portion of the cap body opposite to the pivot axis is not covered by the lid.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2012Date of Patent: September 10, 2013Assignee: Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc.Inventors: Georg Werner Arras, Reinhold Kraemer, Klaus Oswald, Stephan Sattler, Gottfried Senftner, Markus Winkenbach

Patent number: 8153086Abstract: A liquid container having a top opening, a base, and an extraction chimney which extends into the container and which is in alignment with the top opening is presented. The extraction chimney is intended for the withdrawal of liquid by a liquid-withdrawal element that is introduced into the liquid container through the extraction chimney. The extraction chimney has a liquid-permeable zone in its bottom region, adjacent to the liquid container base. The liquid permeability of the liquid-permeable zone of the extraction chimney can be adjusted between a setting for minimal liquid permeability and a setting for greater liquid permeability. The extraction chimney can be adjusted while the extraction chimney remains in the liquid container.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2011Date of Patent: April 10, 2012Assignee: Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc.Inventors: Gottfried Senftner, Markus Winkenbach

Patent number: 7866539Abstract: The invention refers to a container for transporting cooled goods, comprising an inner container for receiving the cooled goods and an outer container surrounding the inner container. The inner container contains a thermally insulating material and has an outer surface on which outer ribs are arranged. The outer ribs generate spaces between the inner container and the outer container. The outer container has a plurality of ventilation holes for ventilating the spaces.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2008Date of Patent: January 11, 2011Assignee: Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc.Inventors: Gottfried Senftner, Peter Wigand

Patent number: 7731903Abstract: The invention relates to an analysis system which, by means of a reagent cartridge opening module, permits automatic opening of reagent vessels which are closed by screwing. The reagent cartridge opening module for this purpose has catch elements which can lock securely against rotation in correspondingly configured catch elements of a reagent vessel lid. In addition, the reagent cartridge opening module and the reagent vessel lid are connected via snap-in elements, so that transport of the reagent vessel lid perpendicular to the plane of the rotational movement is possible.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2008Date of Patent: June 8, 2010Assignee: Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc.Inventors: Stephan Sattler, Heiko Dorn, Gottfried Senftner, Hermann Erb
