  • Patent number: 4134293
Abstract: The invention relates to pressure differential indicating apparatus in a hydraulic measuring bridge which includes a measuring chamber that is provided with a valve means that emits a throughflow quantity into the chamber to be measured thereby and a further valve element for discharging the throughflow quantity from said chamber. The measuring chamber is associated with a pressure differential sensor having a movable wall which controls the volume of the measuring chamber and is acted upon by the pressure of a measuring medium that pulsates at slightly different pressures. Further, the pressure differential sensor is provided with a signal transmitter for controlling the measuring chamber volume and includes a cylinder having a wall provided with a piston means associated with a piston rod.

  • Patent number: 4126319
Abstract: The double-acting measuring piston of this invention is slidably positioned in a cylinder and is provided with oppositely disposed mirror image sealing members which encompass a supporting body and are retained in abutment therewith by spaced flanges. The sealing members have foil lip portions that form between them, the cylinder wall and the supporting body an annular pressure chamber. The mirror image sealing members have oppositely disposed surface areas that are subjected to chambers containing a medium pulsating at slight pressure differences.

  • Patent number: 3935444
Abstract: A polarizer structure for a headlight includes an interference-type polarizer followed by an absorption-type polarizer. The interference-type polarizer in one form of the invention is constituted by rectangular plate polarizing sections in a zigzag arrangement, so that the apex angle formed by adjacent polarizing sections is always 90.degree. while the angle of each polarizing section to the optic axis is 45.degree.. In another form of the invention, the polarizer sections are arranged in a diverging louvre arrangement provided with reflecting layers between the polarizing sections, both the polarizing sections and the reflecting layers at an angle of 45.degree. with the optic axis.
