  • Patent number: 4815306
Abstract: A preassemblable cylinder lock/actuator subassembly of a central locking system is designed so that, at the same time as the actuator is necessarily fastened to a lock carrier in the correct position, the actuating member of the actuator is coupled in a functionally reliable way to a lock operating lever.

  • Patent number: 4806713
Abstract: A seat-contact switch for generating a "seat occupied" signal is combined into a compact constructional unit with an axially resilient actuating device, which extends in a straight line between the seat suspension and the seat frame and which automatically compensates for elastic and permanent deformation or settling phenomena of the seat suspension resulting in a reduction of its unloaded length and which utilizes an adjusting screw connected between the seat and seat frame which screw causes adjustment of the point of make-break contact for the "seat occupied" signal.

  • Patent number: 4730469
Abstract: The application relates to a lock having a closing cylinder for a drop door of a motor vehicle, with the free end of the rotor being provided with a locking projection. To enable the drop door to be slammed shut even when the lock is closed, a ring is provided which can be turned through a certain angle about the rotor longitudinal axis against spring force and is mounted on the end of the rotor remote from the insertion opening for the key. A rotary latch body which is acted upon by a spring is coupled to the ring in hinged manner. The rotary latch body, in a base area, has a central passage opening for the free end of the rotor and a recess for the passage of the locking projection at a certain angular position. The rotary latch body has a projection with a bevelled side face which interacts as a mating piece with an inclined plane fixed to the vehicle to be movable against spring force when the door is slammed shut, to then be returned by the spring force to the locked position.

  • Patent number: 4706738
Abstract: The application relates to a radiator grill for motor vehicles which comprises a plurality of lamellae oriented parallel and arranged at mutual intervals, the free interstices between the lamellae being able to be closed by pressurizable flexible hose(s) as a function of the cooling water temperature of an internal combustion engine, with each of the pressurized adjacent hose(s) being braced mutually in the closed position. The invention provides that such a radiator grill can be developed so that no particularly high pressure needs to be exerted to deform the hose(s), since the hose(s) flex into a closing position and no particularly high strength requirements need be imposed for the resilient properties of the hose material as the hose(s) flex outwardly and do not inflate. Additionally, a simple clip mechanism is provided to attach the hose(s) to the lamellae.

  • Patent number: 4671548
Abstract: A lock assembly is disclosed for locking pivotable hoods, flaps or the like of motor vehicles, which lock assembly has a displaceable closing cylinder, a handle key, a detent pawl and a rotary latch. To ensure that a closure of this type is adjusted quickly and accurately during assembly, the closing cylinder and handle key on the one hand and the detent pawl and rotary latch on the other hand are arranged in separate housings, and the two housings have guides in which they are displaceable relative to one another on overcoming a frictional force.

  • Patent number: 4067528
Abstract: A mounting support for a flat structural part projecting from the outer body of a motor vehicle, such as a firm emblem, a radiator figure, or the like, which is connected with the body by way of a first pivotal connection and a second pivotal connection, whereby the first pivotal connection is provided with a bearing socket open in the direction toward the structural part and with a joint member pivotal about three different axes intersecting at least approximately in a common point forming the pivot center; the second pivotal connection providing only a single degree of freedom of movement connects between the joint member with the structural part whereby the pivot axis of this second pivotal connection is arranged essentially transversely to the driving direction and at least approximately parallel to the outer body panel.

  • Patent number: 3966244
Abstract: An installation for securing pivotal hoods or flaps, particularly engine hoods for motor vehicles, which are unlatched from the interior space of the vehicle and can be released externally from a locked or stop position by a lever secured at a safety hook which itself is pivotally mounted spring-loaded at the hood and cooperates with a fixed counter-member; after the release of the interior latching mechanism, the safety hook is pivoted into a locking or stop position by an upwardly directed movement of the hood, in the course of which the lever pivotally mounted at the safety hook is displaced out of a normal, covered-off position into an externally accessible position for the disengagement out of the stop position.
