  • Publication number: 20230050638
Abstract: Disclosed herein are connectors for a tankless water heater. The connectors can comprise a flange, an aperture extending through the flange having a first diameter, one or more slots extending through the flange, a connector portion substantially surrounding the aperture and extending outward from the flange away from the tankless water heater. The aperture can correspond to an air inlet extending into the tankless water heater, and the air inlet can have a second diameter that is larger than the aperture. To keep the flange in place, the one or more slots can correspond to one or more fastening holes in the tankless water heater. The one or more slots can be substantially parallel and on opposite sides of the aperture. The connector can be in a secured state when the one or more slots are fastened to the one or more fastening holes.

  • Patent number: 11549722
Abstract: A condensation tray for condensing tankless water heaters is disclosed. The tray can include a plurality of peaks and valleys. The peaks can divert condensate runoff from a secondary heat exchanger into the valleys so as to prevent the condensate from falling on a primary heat exchanger. The tray includes gas apertures that enable combustion gases to pass through the tray and across the secondary heat exchanger. Overhangs on the peaks can prevent the condensate from draining through the gas apertures.

  • Publication number: 20220082300
Abstract: The disclosed technology includes systems and methods for operating a fluid heating device comprising an electric heating element and a gas burner. The disclosed technology can include a system and method that can receive flow data from a flow sensor that is indicative of a flow rate of a fluid in a fluid heating system, determine if the flow rate is less than or equal to a threshold flow rate, and output a control signal to heat the fluid with the electric heating element, the gas burner, or both based on the flow rate data.

  • Patent number: 10895405
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a tankless water heater and systems and methods of using the same. The tankless water heater embodiments of the present disclosure can be configured to have a plurality of independently operable heat exchangers that can be used individually or collectively, in any combination, to heat water based on the level of demand for hot water. Embodiments can be configured for randomly selecting which heat exchangers are used to heat the incoming water. Embodiments of the present disclosure can also be configured to flow water through heat exchangers that are not being used to heat water and direct such water to a recirculation loop.
