Abstract: A method/algorithm allows database queries to be saved and an efficient mechanism that matches records whenever they are added or modified to all of the saved queries and returns the list of those queries that match a given record as soon as the record is added or modified. If used in an online search portal example (e.g. a job search site), this invention would allow the searcher to submit and save his search criteria once and the application would return the listings that match the search criteria at that point in time and will also automatically match any new listings that get added after the query gets saved and if a match occurs would notify the user of the listing as soon as the listing is added. This matching on new listings to the saved search will happen continuously until the search is removed.

Abstract: In general, the present invention concerns preventing the movement of a door beyond a certain preset angle using a mechanism that is integrally formed in a door hinge. In embodiments, the invention includes a device comprises a standard hinge with the addition of a pair of stopping knuckles integrally formed on both sides of the hinge in an opposing position. The stopping knuckles do not wrap around the hinge pin like normal knuckles, instead they are formed to protrude out at a predetermined angle for a small length. This device is mounted like any normal hinge and when opened to the predetermined angle the stopping knuckles will abut against each other and stop the door from opening any further, thereby preventing any damage to the wall that might be struck by a portion of the door. This is important in that many door hinges will be allowed to rotate freely and frequently a part of the door will strike the structure that is located behind the door.

Abstract: A system and method for using numeric addresses to access a resource on the world wide web (WWW). The method includes: selecting a character string corresponding to the resource; mapping the character string to a numeric string, wherein the numeric string combined with a top level domain extension comprise a numeric string domain address; and providing access to the resource by accepting the character string and the top level domain extension to be entered on a web enabled device, wherein the resource is located by utilizing the numeric string domain address. In one embodiment, a character string that is easy to remember or identified with a particular entity is used.
