    Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques for performing video denoising (VDN). An adaptive noise threshold is dynamically determined and used to distinguish between frame to frame differences in pixel values that relate to image motion from those differences that relate to noise. The disclosed techniques enable the noise threshold to be continuously updated, for example as frequently as once per frame, so that the noise threshold may closely track to varying levels of noise in the input video data. The techniques may be implemented in, for example, a video format conversion apparatus. Advantageously, the techniques may be incorporated in programmable logic devices (PLD's) or Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA's) configurable to perform video format conversion, while adding only modest additional computational demands on the apparatus.

The network nodes are organized in a multi-level hierarchical architecture whereby the nodes at each level are managed by nodes at the next higher level. In a three-layer network, leaf nodes populate the lowest level, cluster head nodes the intermediate level, and regional head nodes the highest level. Priority-based backbone tree paths are constructed by selecting and connecting high capability nodes, such that the unselected nodes are one-hop away from a connected node. In a two backbone tree path construction, a primary backbone tree path carries the high priority traffic and a secondary backbone tree path carries the lower priority traffic. The connectivities of the backbone tree paths are maintained dynamically. So also are high priority traffic flows using the Dynamic Priority Threshold mechanism with High Fidelity Monitoring and traffic siphoning via unutilized network resources.

An architecture of a workload received for execution in a cloud computing environment is identified. The cloud computing environment includes a set of cloud computing resources. A section of the workload is identified and marked for static analysis. Static analysis is performed on the section to determine a characteristic of the workload. A subset of the set of cloud computing resources is selected such that a cloud competing resource in the subset is available for allocating to the workload and has a characteristic that matches the characteristic of the workload as determined from the static analysis. The subset of cloud computing resources is suggested to a job scheduler for scheduling the workload for execution.

The antijam filter and method are modular, with applicability to a wide range of wireless communication systems employing multiple antennas at the receiver.
