While the agent is engaged in the chat session with the party, a web reference to content is generated. The web reference includes an application identifier associated with the messaging application. In response to receiving a request for the web reference including the application identifier, the content is displayed in a second section of the user interface of the messaging application that is different from the first section of the user interface.
