Abstract: An agent is directed to engage in a chat session with a party via a messaging application. The chat session is within a first section of a user interface of the messaging application. While the agent is engaged in the chat session with the party, a web reference to content is generated. The web reference includes an application identifier associated with the messaging application. In response to receiving a request for the web reference including the application identifier, the content is displayed in a second section of the user interface of the messaging application that is different from the first section of the user interface.
