  • Patent number: 11840106
Abstract: A method for decorating a sliding board including on its visible part, a composite material formed of a fibrous layer coated with hardenable resin, includes preparing a transfer film that includes a face covered with a pattern constituted of an arrangement of grains of at least one type of ink. The ink includes colourants and a crosslinked polymer. The method also includes positioning the face of the transfer film covered with the pattern on all or some of the external surface of the composite material, applying pressure and temperature conditions generating the softening or/then hardening of the resin to as to incrust the grains of the pattern in the superficial layer of the composite material while conserving the arrangement of the grains, and peeling the transfer film.

  • Patent number: 11518068
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and facility for manufacturing a tape of reinforcement filaments impregnated by a polymer matrix, as well as a tape produced thereby, said tape having a constant width across the entire length thereof, wherein the filaments extend in a direction parallel to the length of the tape, from a strand of filaments coming from a feeding reel. The method including steps and units that make it possible to manage the unwinding tension of the strand, to guide the strand on the axis of the machine, to manage the width of the strand, to deposit the polymer on the strand by electrostatic powdering, with a polymer weight ratio of around 20% to around 75% to melt the polymer, to calibrate the width and thickness of the tape and to collect the tape on the storage reel.

  • Publication number: 20120152516
Abstract: A bypass valve for a heat exchanger including a plurality of parallel tubular members comprises a housing having a hollow plug portion adjacent to an actuator portion. The actuator comprises a reciprocating plunger extending into the plug portion and a solenoid having a central actuator shaft attached to the plunger, wherein the actuator shaft extends upon energization of the solenoid so that the plunger prevents bypass flow through the valve. The valve also comprises a temperature sensor for sensing a temperature of the fluid flowing through the heat exchanger, the temperature sensor being electrically coupled to the solenoid through one or more conductors, wherein the temperature sensor is located at the first end of the actuator shaft and the conductors extend through the hollow interior of the actuator shaft to the second end thereof.

  • Patent number: 7487826
Abstract: Bypass valves and heat exchangers employing same are provided where the bypass valves cause the flow through the heat exchangers to be short-circuited under certain temperature conditions. The heat exchangers are formed of stacked plate pairs or tubes having enlarged communicating distal end portions forming inlet and outlet manifolds. The bypass valves can be plugged in where desired between the enlarged distal end portions to produce bypass flow between the inlet and outlet manifolds. The bypass valves include a housing which can be brazed in place during brazing of the heat exchanger. The housing has inlet and outlet openings in communication with the respective inlet and outlet manifolds for bypass flow therebetween. A removable temperature responsive actuator is located in the housing for blocking and unblocking the bypass flow through the valve.
