Abstract: A clip type lamp attachable to a hat or cap. The clip type lamp comprises a housing including a main body, a solar panel on the top side of the main body, a plurality of light emitters on a rotating member configured to rotate about a horizontal axis of rotation at the front of the housing. A mode-control switch is provided on the exterior of the housing. The main body of the housing includes an interior chamber below the solar panel for receiving a solar-rechargeable battery. A clip extending under the bottom side of the housing may have one end integrally engaged with the housing or a forward extension thereof. The rotating member can be user-rotated so that at least one of the plurality of light emitters illuminates the user's face.
