    Abstract: A surface protector for the cargo area of a vehicle. The protector includes a roller assembly formed by a pair of tubular slides, one received in the other, so that the length of the roller assembly can be adjusted. Flexible sheets are attached to the slides and are able to move with respect to each other during adjustment of the length of the roller assembly. This provides a corresponding adjustment of the width covered by the sheets. The slides are mounted on a mounting assembly which includes feet to bear against opposing walls of a vehicle cargo area.
