Patent number: 10771499Abstract: A DDoS attack mitigation system includes a plurality of stateless network devices connected to a network. The system also includes one or more DPI devices connected to the plurality of stateless devices. The system further includes a controller connected to the plurality of stateless devices and connected to the DPI devices. The controller includes logic integrated with and/or executable by a processor. The controller is configured to receive a signal from a first DPI device and analyze the received signal. The controller is further configured to update a network traffic policy to redirect at least some of network traffic destined for the first DPI device to one or more DPI devices different from the first DPI device based on the analyzed signal and to send a signal indicative of the updated network policy to at least some of the plurality of stateless devices.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2017Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Assignee: Arbor Networks, Inc.Inventor: Joshua Graham Knight

Publication number: 20190120013Abstract: A valve for limiting differential pressure applied to a downhole tool includes a housing and a movable piston/mandrel assembly therein. In a closed position, drilling mud or other fluid may be communicated through a central bore of the valve to the tool. When the differential pressure between the central bore and the wellbore exceeds a first predetermined value, the piston/mandrel assembly moves from a first position obstructing one or more relief ports to a second position not obstructing them, thereby providing a fluid path from the central bore of the valve to the wellbore bypassing the tool and relieving the differential pressure thereacross. When the differential pressure decreases to less than another preselected value, the piston/mandrel assembly returns to its original position again obstructing the relief ports. A trigger mechanism is provided to allow more precise control and separation of the preselected differential pressure values.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2018Publication date: April 25, 2019Inventors: Michael Glenn Gay, Ann Kamel Fitzgerald, Theodore Lee Cottrell, Phillip Graham Knight

Patent number: 9848051Abstract: Methods and computer readable medium for collaborating on geographical maps between two or more computers are disclosed. In particular, sharing a geographical location on a map between two or more computers and co-navigating a map between two or more computers are disclosed. With respect to sharing a geographical location, the geographical location is retrieved to the first computer. The geographical location is added to the map being rendered at the first computer and is sent to a second computer. A map including the geographical location is rendered at the second computer. With respect to co-navigating, a map is displayed from a map perspective at the first computer. The map perspective is sent to the second computer. A map from the same map perspective being displayed at the first computer is rendered at the second computer.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2017Date of Patent: December 19, 2017Assignee: VID SCALE, INCInventors: Gabriel Coch, David Mark Smith, Graham Knight
