  • Publication number: 20160331117
Abstract: A dental cleaning appliance includes a fluid delivery system for delivering a burst of working fluid to the teeth of a user; and a control circuit for controlling the delivery of the burst of working fluid to the teeth of a user. The appliance has a first operational mode in which the delivery of the burst of working fluid to the teeth of a user is inhibited and a second operational mode in which the burst of working fluid to the teeth of a user is permitted. During use of the appliance, the control circuit is arranged to effect a transition between the first operational mode and the second operational mode automatically depending on a detected operational parameter of the appliance.

  • Patent number: 9424436
Abstract: The enforcement of operation restriction on a file system entity over a network. The file system entity exists on a server (which could be a single machine, a cluster of servers, or a cloud computing environment). The server facilitates setting up of a session over a network with a client. As part of this facilitation, the server receives from the client a locale of the client. Upon subsequent receipt from the client of a request to perform an operation on the file system entity, the client consults supplemental data to determine whether the requested operation is permitted on the file system entity. The supplemental data may comprise at least one of the locality information or operation expiry data.

  • Publication number: 20160239955
Abstract: A method of laser drilling a hole comprising providing a laser source at a first side of a component to laser drill a hole through the component. A light source is positioned in the path of the laser beam at the opposite side of the component. A camera is provided at the first side of the component. The camera is positioned such that it has a line of sight view of the light source through the laser drilled hole. The laser drilled hole in the component is viewed using the light provided by the light source at the opposite side of the component. The parameters of the laser drilled hole are measured using the view of the laser drilled hole provided by the camera and a flow of gas is provided over the surface of the light source to protect the light source.

  • Publication number: 20160124987
Abstract: File system entity access control based on location of the requestor. Location data is associated with a file system entity (e.g., a file, a directory, a partition, or a disk) such that the file system entity and the location data are moved or copied atomically together. Upon receiving a request to perform an operation on the file system entity, the system identifies the location of the requestor, and accesses the location data associated with the file system entity. The location data and the requestor location are then used to determine whether or not the requested file operation is to be permitted.

  • Publication number: 20160124974
Abstract: The controlling of access to a file system entity based on location of the requestor and operation expiry data of the file system entity. Operation expiry data and location data are associated with a file system entity (e.g., a file, a directory, a partition, or a disk) such that the file system entity and the operation expiry data and the location data are moved or copied atomically together. Upon receiving a request to perform an operation on the file system entity, the system identifies a location status of the requestor. The system then identifies expiry data that corresponds to the location status, and that is associated with the requested operation. The system then uses the identified expiry data to determine whether or not the requested file operation is to be permitted.

  • Patent number: 9307463
Abstract: A user equipment UE determines that a neighbor cell is higher priority than a serving cell, measures neighbor cell signal strength in n>1 iterations, and analyzes them for reselecting from the serving cell to the neighbor cell. Each measurement iteration is spaced from one another by a time interval (e.g., 1 DRX) that is specific for the neighbor cell being higher priority. In various embodiments, the UE measures while in a Cell-PCH, URA-PCH or idle state/mode and the first iteration is taken at the first available measurement opportunity after transitioning to that state/mode. The UE reselects to the neighbor cell based on the analyzed signal strengths; in one embodiment the decision to reselect is without regard to signal quality of the serving cell; and in another the decision is without regard to whether a reselection condition remains satisfied for a specified time period Treselection.

  • Publication number: 20160081177
Abstract: A circuit card assembly includes a heat sink, a locking mechanism, a first thermal path, and a second thermal path. The heat sink couples to a circuit board and has an upper surface and a lower surface. The heat sink has a channel extending downward along the upper surface of the heat sink. The locking mechanism is disposed within the channel and includes a plurality of solid wedges movably arranged within the channel. Movement of the wedges is effective to secure the circuit card assembly to a holder. The first thermal path extends from the circuit board through the heat sink to the lower surface of the heat sink and removes thermal energy from the circuit board. The second thermal path is formed from the circuit board, through the heat sink, and then through the wedges to the holder. The second thermal path removes thermal energy from the circuit board that is greater than a leakage amount.
