  • Patent number: 10423134
Abstract: An intermediate sump warning system having a sensor associated with a gate of an intermediate sump. The sensor is connected to a controller that activates a warning signal when the sensor detects that the gate is in an open position. The controller also deactivates the unloading system when the gate is open.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 2, 2018
Date of Patent: September 24, 2019
    Assignee: Sukup Manufacturing Co.
Inventors: Eugene G. Sukup, Graham Giddings, Elizabeth Brinkman, Randal L. Marcks, Charles E. Sukup

  • Patent number: 9933383
Abstract: A moisture sensor for drying grain having a sensor block with built in ground bars, a removable electronic module having a circuit board encased in black potting compound, and a removable back plate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 11, 2015
Date of Patent: April 3, 2018
    Assignee: Sukup Manufacturing Co.
    Inventor: Graham Giddings
  • Patent number: 9931599
Abstract: A delay system for a stirring machine includes a plurality of vertical stirring augers, supported to a cross tube, with each auger having a tilt switch. A gear motor is connected to the cross tube and moves the cross tube forwardly around a bin. A delay assembly is connected to the tilt switches and the gear motor. The delay assembly shuts off the gear motor when the stirring augers are vertically displaced and starts the gear motor after a time delay once the stirring augers return to a vertical position.

  • Patent number: 9719974
Abstract: A moisture sensing device having an elongated chute with an open top and a gate at the bottom. The gate is connected to an actuator for opening and closing the gate. A proximity sensor is mounted to the chute adjacent the gate to detect whether the gate is open or closed. Connected to and extending into the chute is a moisture sensor. The moisture sensor, proximity sensor, and actuator are all connected to a controller.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20170131030
Abstract: A grain drying control system including a grain drying device, a plurality of sensors associated with the grain drying device and a computer. The computer controls the grain drying device based on the data transmitted from the sensors related to ambient conditions, grain temperature and moisture, and unload speed to achieve a desired grain moisture.
