  • Publication number: 20240126425
Abstract: An electronic device displays a wake screen that includes a representative image in a sequence of images. While displaying the wake screen, the electronic device detects an input that includes a contact over the wake screen. In response to detecting the contact over the wake screen, the electronic device displays, in sequence, a plurality of images in the sequence of images.

  • Patent number: 5606149
Abstract: A closure is provided for connections between high voltage cables and other electrical equipment, such as another high voltage cable, a transformer, or switch gear. Insulation is provided by an insulating gel which forms interfaces with itself and/or materials of the cable or other electrical equipment. The interfaces have a high interfacial dielectric strength, which prevents failure along the interfaces.

  • Patent number: 4963819
Abstract: The invention provides a high voltage capacitor suitable for measuring the voltage of an overhead power line. The capacitor dielectric is mounted directly on to the power line conductor, which serves as one electrode of the capacitor. The other electrode of the capacitor is mounted on to the outer surface of the dielectric, and is protected at each side by a guard ring. Stress control is provided between the outer capacitor electrode and the guard rings and also at the outer edges of the guard rings. The capacitor may be enclosed in an earthed housing, which can contain one or more current transformers. The apparatus can be used for fault detection and location, and may be used in combination with a power cable or a switch.

  • Patent number: 4362993
Abstract: The invention provides RF field coils and detector coils for an NMR machine. The two coils are specially designed for their respective purpose, the transmit coil (5, 6) being rectangular and the received coil (7-11) substantially elliptical with defined axis ratios and spacing in the z-direction being by projection of equi-spaced conductors on to the ellipse.

  • Patent number: 4144481
Abstract: A control device for electronic apparatus is provided with a d.c. ironless motor coupled to a manually rotatable knob. As the knob is rotated a digital signal representative of the rotation is derived from the back e.m.f. of the motor.
