  • Patent number: 7052799
Abstract: A wearable, mobile and/or portable terminal for use in an inventory management system. The terminal includes a terminal housing, a battery pack removably receivable within an external battery-receiving cavity of the terminal housing, and a battery latching mechanism that secures the battery pack in the battery-receiving cavity in a latched condition. The battery pack has an unlatched condition in which the battery latch mechanism is disengaged from the battery pack. A camming surface of the battery latching mechanism lifts the unlatched battery pack from the battery-receiving cavity to promote its removal from the terminal housing. The terminal housing is sealed relative to the environment surrounding the wearable terminal battery pack and yet permits electrical coupling between the battery pack and the terminal in the latched condition.

  • Patent number: 6910911
Abstract: An electrical connector has a plug portion and a terminal portion. The plug portion is couplable to the terminal portion to provide an electrical connection between a device and a peripheral item which is securely coupled to the device during normal operation of the device. Advantageously, the plug portion will break-away from the terminal portion when a force applied to the plug portion reaches a specified magnitude to thereby prevent damage to the connector and to prevent hindering operation of the device.

  • Publication number: 20040060598
Abstract: A valve is disclosed for dispensing a flowable material from a container. The valve has a first chamber (40) at a first pressure wherein said first chamber (40) defines an outlet (28) in communication with said first chamber (40). A second chamber (42) is at a second pressure. The valve has a stop (18) indexed against a third pressure, operating to selectively place the first chamber (40) into communication with the second chamber (42). The stop (18) is operative to connect the second chamber (42) to said first chamber (40) when the first pressure is less than the third pressure. The valve has structure capable of balancing internal forces acting on the valve such as from pressure from the flowable material in the container.

  • Patent number: 6554746
Abstract: An inspiratory muscle training device comprises a chamber having an opening for the passage of air to be inhaled and exhaled, and an inlet permitting air to be inhaled to enter the chamber and to pass to the opening. A one-way exhaust valve permits exhaled air entering through the opening to escape from the chamber, and another valve is provided to resist the entry of air to be inhaled into the chamber, the latter valve serving to vary the degree of resistance in dependence upon the volume of air that has passed through the inlet.

  • Patent number: 6223402
Abstract: A clip for a test telephone has a hook part and a gate part which pivots to open and close the mouth of the hook part. In the open position it enters a slot in the hook part. The hook part has an offset coupling portion for pivotable connection to the gate part and to the telephone casing. The casing has a channel in which the clip is mounted so as to be pivotable to a use configuration in which the mouth of the hook part is aligned with the adjacent surface of the casing so an object to be hooked can slide relative to the casing and into the clip.
